In this study,20 spring maize varieties were selected,different densities were set up,and the variety selection test was carried out.Based on seven varieties with good performance,the test points were set up in five maize areas in Guizhou Province to analyze the agronomic traits,mechanical characteristics,and yield and yield traits of each variety in different maize areas.Variation coefficient method,high stability coefficient method,and GGE double scale analysis were used to comprehensively evaluate the abundance,stability and adaptability of various varieties,in order to provide scientific basis for the breeding and promotion of spring corn varieties with dense planting resistance in maize district of Guizhou Province.The specific findings are as follows:1.The principal component and membership function of 20 maize varieties(combinations)were analyzed by the indexes of agronomic characters,mechanical characteristics,yield traits and yield at different densities.The analysis results show that Xianyu1171,Zhongyu3,Jinyu306,Zhenghong6,Jinyu838,Qiandan16,Yudan8 and Xinzhongyu801 have good comprehensive performance.The ecological adaptability can be further studied in each maize area.2.In the five maize regions,with the increase of planting density,the agronomic traits such as plant height,Spike height,stem thickness,and spike height coefficient of different varieties show certain regularity,that is,the average plant height and spike height of corn plants after densification.Generally higher than the low density,The plant height and ear height of a few varieties in a maize area decreased with the increase of planting density,but the difference was not obvious.Under different planting densities,the spike height coefficients of Xianyu1171 and Jingdan15 were relatively small in each maize area.3.In the five maize regions,the puncture strength,compression strength,and crushing strength of the stem of the same corn plant decreased with the increase of ground joints.With the increase of density,the stem strength of the corresponding node position decreases with the same species,the same joint position,and the performance of puncture strength,compression strength,and crushing strength at different densities.The species with large puncture strength,compression strength,and crushing strength values at the 3rd,5th,and 7th knots of stem stalks planted under different planting densities are Zhongyu3,Jingdan14,Jinyu838,and Jingdan15,indicating that it has strong resistance to fall.Volt ability.4.The leaf area index of Jinyu838 and Jingdan14 at two densities in five maize areas was relatively large at different densities in five maize areas,while the leaf area index of the corn variety Zhenghong431 was relatively small.The dry matter accumulation of Jingdan14,Jingdan15 and Jinyu838 after flowering performed welland was relatively stable among varieties,ensuring that the rapid accumulation of dry matter after flowering was synchronized with the formation of grain yield.5.The results of regional tests and analysis over a period of more than one year showed that Jinyu838,Jingdan15 and Jingdan14 performed well in each of the five maize districts.Xianyu1171 had special adaptability and performed well at the Anshun and Xingren test point.The combined performance of Zhenghong431 is general.The combined performance of Zhongyu3 and Xinzhongyu801 was poor.6.The results of GGE double scale map analysis showed that under the low density conditions,the varieties with good yield and stability were Xianyu1171,Jingdan14,and Jingdan15;Xianyu1171,Jingdan14,Jingdan15 have better adaptability in Anshun,Jinsha and Xingren,and Jinyu838 has better adaptability in Tongren and Weining.At high density,the fertility was from high to low,followed by Jingdan14,Xianyu1171,Jingdan15,and Jinyu838.The stability was Jingdan15,Zhongyu3,and Zhenghong431.Jinyu838 and Jingdan14 have better adaptability in Jinsha and Weining.Xianyu1171 and Jingdan15 have better adaptability in Anshun,Tongren and Xingren.Xinzhongyu801,Zhenghong431 and Zhongyu3 are in each area.The adaptability is poor at different densities.In summary,the varieties with relatively good yield,stability,and adaptability under different planting densities are Jingdan14,Jingdan15,Xianyu1171,and Jinyu838,while the other varieties have poor combined performance.
