Mangrove is an important ecosystem in China's coastal areas.It provides a variety of ecosystem services such as providing products,purifying water quality,eliminating waves and reveting coasts,protecting,sequestrating carbon and releasing oxygen,maintaining biological diversity,and protecting mangrove ecosystems to maintain coastal ecosystem security.In this paper,we have studied the ecosystem of Dongzhaigang Mangrove Nature Reserve(DMNR),remote sensing,geographic information system technology,ecosystem service assessment model and ecological economics method were used to inversitgate the land use change and value of mangrove ecosystem services in Dongzhaigang.We have proposed an improvement plan for mangrove ecosystem service value as in the following:(1)From 1988 to 2015,the land use change of the DMNR was obvious.In 1988,mangroves and other wetlands,forest land,cultivated and land grassland accounted for 30.1%,1.8%,5.4% and 0.6% respectively;construction land accounted for 0.8%;and the remaining land is waters.In 2015,mangroves and waters were the main types of land use,accounting for 31.7% and 64.9% of the total area respectively;the rest were woodland(2.4%),other wetlands(0.6%),cultivated land(0.2%)and construction land(0.1%).During the study period,the total area of mangroves in protected areas showed an increasing trend,with an increase of 7.71%.There are a total of 20 species of 13 families,17 genera,and 13 species of mangroves and their associated plants in DMNR,14.1% of the total mangrove are alien mangrove speices.(2)The total value of ecosystem services provided between 1988-2015 showed an increasing trend,increased from 219.2 millon RMB in 1988 to 3,381.1 million RMB in 2015,of which the value of regulation service was the highest,accounting for over 93% of the total service value in 1988 and 1998,and 65.73% in 2015;followed by cultural services and provision services.(3)Land use change and tourism resource development are the main driving factors of the value of mangrove ecosystem services.A spatial planning design for improving the value of mangrove ecosystems was proposed based on the core zone,buffer zone,and experimental zone.The design proposed to increase the mudflat area that is suitable for mangrove growing,which could increase the economic value of the mangrove ecosystem to 98.7 million RMB,accounting for 11.98% of the total service value of the upgraded mangrove ecosystem.The above research results can provide scientific basis for the protection and restoration of mangrove ecosystems and coordinate the protection in DMNR and development of local community.
