In order to solve the problem of muskmelon seedlings' overgrowth,difficulty to cultivate seedlings of the right age,and the impact on flower bud differentiation of seedlings when growing factorial muskmelon seedlings in Shanghai area,this research studied the effect of different temperature condition(day and night)including 30?/30??30?/25??30?/20??30?/15??25?/15??20?/15? on the morphological index,growth,chlorophyll content,root activity of melon seedling.The result showed that under this experiment conditions,melon seedling's growth was affected to varying degrees,and there is some correlation among the index to some degree.Under the condition of 25?/15?,the morphological index,growth,chlorophyll content,root activity of melon seedling are the highest among the treatments,and this can be the theoretical and practical basis for summer industrial seedling of melon.‘Wanglu'was used in this experiment,and the influence of treatments of soaking seeds with different concentrations of exogenous hormones including abscisic acid(ABA),spermidine(Spd),and paclobutrazol(PP333)on the seedling growth and the flower bud differentiation of muskmelon was studied.The results showed that Under the condition of this experiment,ABA,Spd,PP333 can solve the problem of overgrowth when cultivating summer melon seedling in hole tray,enhance seedling index,promote seedling root growth,increase seedling leaf physiological function,but the suitable concentration of exogenous hormone varies.Three concentrations of PP333 significantly inhibit overgrowth of seedling,and as concentration increases,the effect is much more significant;The treatment with concentration of 10 mg/L PP333 solution has strong seedling index,root activity,chlorophyll content;Concentration of 10-50 mg/L PP333 solution significantly promote seedling bud differentiation process.The experiment confirmed the optimum concentration of 3 kinds of exogenous hormones used on the melon hole tray seedling,and can provides some theory and practice basis for the summer melon factory seedling.
