As a pivotal production item in animal husbandry,dairy industry has high economic value.In the process of feeding,excessive consumption of fermentable acid-production forage in the rumen would lead to the decrease of pH value,and the accumulation of lactic acid would lead to rumen acidosis.As far as rumen acidosis to say,it is a kind of disease which is characterized via quick on set,swift in change,short in course,and high rates of mortality.It does causes economic losses to the dairy industry.The pH value of rumen contents is an intuitive indicator to evaluate the internal environment of the rumen,but rumen contents samples should be collected for pH determination.In order to realize continuous monitoring of rumen pH,the rumen detection system of cow based on Zigbee was studied in this paper.The rumen pH value of each cow was continuously monitored through the pH wireless sensor node,the collected pH data is uploaded to PC through the serial port for data processing by the coordinator node.The pH data of rumen of each cow was collected to provide relevant information for dairy farmers,thus,optimizing the farm management,reducing the cost and maximizing the economic.The main works and conclusion of this paper are as follows:(1)The advantages and disadvantages of common wireless sensor network technologies are analyzed to determine the collection method which suits for rumen pH value of cows.The main chip CC2530 based on the 2.4GHz-band and the radio frequency chip CC2591 are adopted to complete the construction of the whole wireless sensor network,as well as the transmission and reception of network data.What's more,the technology of sensor node and coordinator node hardware is demonstrated.(2)The rumen pH value collection node of cow was designed.The paper mainly discusses the overall module circuit of CC2530 on the terminal node and coordinator node,the design of terminal node,coordinator node.The STM32 module,power supply module,USB serial circuit which can processing the collected data of pH sensor module.(3)Designing and developing the software systems,designing and realizing the program for pH sensor,STM32 processes the data from pH sensor.The Z-satack protocol stack is used to create the whole network,send the terminal node,and receipt the data from coordinator node.The upper computer software is realized by C#,thereby,to display and save the data.(4)After completing the hardware and software system,the functional tests were performed on the whole monitoring system via simulating the internal pH environment in the rumen of cows.The results prove that the system successfully collected the pH data,transfer the information through the serial to the network port,and then save the collected data in the upper computer database.Through the comparison and analysis of the data collected by the system,we can promise that the absolute pH error is less than 0.17,the correlation coefficient is 0.991,the average relative error is 3.5%.In other words,it would meets the usage requirements.
