The improper use of veterinary drugs may lead to their residues in animal products, whichhas a threat to human health.Veterinary drug residues have gradually become a hot social issue of general concern. The monitoring and control of veterinary drug residue has been an important content in the research, development, use and management of veterinary drug at home and abroad.Based on liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry?LC-QTOF?,a method for analyzing 12 kinds of benzimidazole drugs and some metabolites was established.Additionally, the screening of characteristic attributes such as the exact mass number and retention time of the parent ions and fragment ions of each compound was constructed, and the database was confirmed. The screening sensitivity of the 12 target compounds was better than that of 10?g kg-1,which could meet the requirements of rapid screening in pork and its internal organs and other animal food. When 20?g kg-1 target compounds were added to the blank substrate, the fragment ions of all the selected compounds were clearly visible, and the suspected result could be accurately confirmed.Compared with liquid chromatography-tandem quadrupole mass spectrometry, the sensitivity of the established screening method could meet the standard requirements. The maximum relative deviation of semi-quantitative results of most compounds was less than 50%,but the ability of qualitative confirmation was much better than that of quadrupole mass spectrometry. In this study, ninety four samples randomly sampled from the Jinan market were detected by LC-QTOF method. The benzzimidazole metabolite albendazole sulfone was detected in two pork samples and one pork liver sample.Subsequently, the detection values of albendazole sulfone in these samples were 11.3?g kg-1,19.1?g kg-1 and 33.6?g kg-1,respectively,which are lower than the national standard MRL value(100?g kg-1).This result proved that the animal product quality was according with the animal safety regulations in the Chinese market. This study provided an analytical tool for the detection of benzimidazole and its metabolites in pork and its internal organs and other animal food, and it was of great significance for the development of new methods for drug residue detection.
