For reducing the cost of ginger soilless culture nutrient solution, this study carried out the research on fertilizer substitution optimization of ginger nutrient solution formula based on Hoagland nutrient solution formula. The experiment was designed by split plot experiment, used "Shannong No.1" ginger as test material, used nutrient solution sand culture, studied on the formula of Hoagland nutrient solution(CK),fertilizer nutrient solution with the same amount of NPK as Hoagland(T1),innovative nutrient solution(T2)and H1(Seedling stage 150 mlˇPot-1ˇ2d-1,After the initiation stage 200 mlˇPot-1ˇ2d-1),H2(Seedling stage 200 mlˇPot-1ˇ2d-1,After the initiation stage 300 mlˇPot-1ˇ2d-1),H3(Seedling stage 250 mlˇPot-1ˇ2d-1,After the initiation stage 400 mlˇPot-1ˇ2d-1),three kinds of irrigation level and its effects on ginger growth, nutrient absorption and utilization, and related physiological metabolism. The main results are as follows:1.The growth indexes of ginger, such as the fresh weight of roots, stems, leaves, and rhizomes, and quality indexes such as soluble sugar, soluble protein, dry matter, and gingerol were higher in T2,followed by CK,and lower in T1.The economic yield of ginger per plant in T2 increased by 18.57% compared with CK,and increased by 34.92% compared with T1.Different irrigation level also significantly affected the yield and quality of ginger. The economic yield per plant in H3 reached 696.61 g,which was an increase of 12.55% compared with H2 and 30.58% compared with H1.The cost of the two fertilizer formulas(T1,T2)is about 1/8 of the cost of the formula prepared by chemical reagents(CK).The ratio of output to input of T2 is nearly nine times higher than that of CK.2.There are significant differences in the absorption and utilization efficiency of N,P,K,Ca and Mg by different treatments of ginger. At harvest time, under T2 treatment, the N,K and Mg utilization efficiency of ginger was significantly higher than that of other treatments, which were 59.37%,67.30%,and 75.30%,respectively.The highest P utilization efficiency under CK treatment, reaching 53.78%.There was no significant difference in Ca utilization efficiency between T2 and CK.The fertilizer partial factor productivity under T2 increasing by 17.64% over CK and 20.34% over T1.With the increase of irrigation level, the accumulation of each nutrient element increased, but the utilization efficiency and fertilizer partial factor productivity showed a downward trend.3.Under different treatments, photosynthetic characteristics such as pigment content,Pn,Tr,Fv/Fm in ginger leaves increased first and then decreased throughout the growing season. Before the initiation stage,CK ginger performed better. After entering the rhizome enlargement,T2 treatment was the best. For example,Pn was 3.34% and 7.89% higher than CK and T1,respectively.With the increase of irrigation, photosynthetic characteristics of ginger leaves increased.4.During the whole growth period, the changes of NR,GS,GOGAT,SPS,SS and other related enzyme activities in ginger leaves increased first and then decreased. In the early stage of ginger growth, the activities of key enzymes in carbon and nitrogen metabolism of ginger under CK were significantly higher than those of the other two formula treatments. After entering the rhizome enlargement,T2 treatment was the best. For example, the enzyme activities of NR and SS increased by 5.93% and 5.19% compared with CK,and 11.27% and 7.84% higher than T1,respectively.The activities of various enzymes in carbon and nitrogen metabolism of ginger increased with the increase of irrigation.
