With the continuous development of industry, the total amount of chemical fertilizers in China shows a significant year-on-year upward trend.According to the statistics,China's fertilizer consumption has increased from 8.84 million tons in 1978 to 59.841 million tons in 2016.The agricultural ecological environment pollution caused by the overuse of chemical fertilizer caused great concern in the society. Thus, the government has put forward a series of policies to promote the replacement of organic fertilizer in order to accelerate the process of agricultural modernization and realize the sustainable development of agriculture. As a large agricultural province,Jiangsu has made full use of its advantages of agricultural waste resources and vigorously developed organic fertilizer in recent years. At present, its application and promotion on economic crops has achieved some success, while on grain crops is relatively poor.As the main input of fertilizer, the decision of their behavior is related to the smooth promotion of organic manure in field crops. Therefore,it is particularly necessary to study the influencing factors of farmers'fertilization decisions in rice and wheat rotation field from a micro perspective, thus finding out and excavating the actual problems in the process of organic fertilizer popularization in Jiangsu province.Based on the regional differentiation rule of Jiangsu Province, this study takes 324 ordinary farmers and 60 large grain producers in the rice-wheat rotation area in northern, middle and southern Jiangsu as the research objects, analyzes the farmers' application behavior of organic fertilizers and its main influencing factors by using general descriptive statistical methods and establishing binary logistic model. The results are as follows:(1)The proportion of organic fertilizer used by large grain producers is much higher than that of ordinary farmers.(2)Sample farmers from these 3 places all showed a trend of aging, and ordinary farmers has a relatively balanced sex ratio, while large producers has a higher proportion of males; The overall level of education is relatively low, mostly concentrated in elementary schools and below; The average farming size of the ordinary farmers is small, the proportion of agricultural employees is relatively low,and concurrent employment is more common.(3)Overall,the main sources of organic fertilizers application are farmyard fertilizers and commodity organic fertilizers. Most of the ordinary farmers use farmyard fertilizers, while the large producers are dominated by commodity organic fertilizers. The reasons for farmers in different regions who don't apply organic manure are mainly due to the slow fertilizer efficiency, high price, inconvenient use and insufficient labor.(4)In the overall sample, about half of the farmers don't know the subsidy policy of organic fertilizer application and there are relatively few large producers. The number of organic fertilizers will be the most if the government grants subsidies, but from the proportion, farmers in southern and middle Jiangsu have a more positive attitude towards organic fertilizer promotion than those in northern Jiangsu.(5)It turns out that factors affecting farmers' application of organic fertilizers include age and education level, cultivated area, total household income, grain production purposes, understanding of organic fertilizers, fertilizer distributor's fertilization guidance, government subsidy policies on organic fertilizers, promotion of organic manure by agricultural extension department and regional variables by using binary logistic model. The main differences between ordinary farmers and large producers are reflected in the cultivated area.It has a negative impact on the application of organic fertilizer by ordinary farmers, but has a positive impact on large producers. In order to guide farmers to rationally apply organic fertilizers and accelerate the promotion of organic fertilizers, the following policy recommendations are proposed in conjunction with the research results:Improve education level and enhance the concept of rational fertilization for farmers;strengthen the publicity and promotion of organic fertilizers and broaden the sources of information for farmers;continuously improve the service quality of agricultural resources stores and vigorously develop the industrialization of organic fertilizers;encourage large-scale operation of agriculture and improve the support of government policies.
