Fritillaria thunbergii,as one of the "eight flavors of Zhejiang" of traditional Chinese medicine,has been growing year by year in recent years.However,there is no seed machine for Fritillaria thunbergii in the market.Because of the requirement of upward seeding,the development of seed machine for Fritillaria thunbergii is greatly limited.At present,the sowing process still relies on the manual sowing,the mechanization degree is low,and the labor intensity is high,which seriously hinders the development of Zhejiang Fritillaria industry.Therefore,it is of great significance to design an economical and suitable seeder for Fritillaria thunbergii.In this paper,according to the agricultural requirements of Fritillaria thunbergii,a self-propelled planter was designed,which can complete the sowing process of ditching,fertilization,sowing,ridging and covering soil at one time.Aiming at the core part of seeder,the directional seed metering device of Fritillaria thunbergii was simulated and trial manufactured.Based on the research on the material characteristics of Fritillaria thunbergii,this paper explores the seed metering device by the method of motion theory analysis,3D modeling,edem simulation and prototype test.The research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)The basic physical characteristics of Fritillaria thunbergii,including geometric characteristics,mass,density,center of gravity and moisture content,were measured.The planting agronomy of Fritillaria thunbergii was obtained,which provided theoretical parameters for the design of seed metering device and seeder.(2)The directional seed metering machinery of Fritillaria thunbergii was designed and configured comprehensively.The gearbox,electric motor,ditcher,fertilizer discharging device,ridging and covering device and chain drive system were selected and calculated.The main structure and working principle of the seed metering device are studied;Design the structure of the seed metering channel motor opening and closing device,and use SolidWorks to complete the three-dimensional modeling of each part;Hardware selection and programming of the control system.(3)Using the discrete element simulation software(edem)to carry out the virtual test on the working performance of the directional seed metering device of Fritillaria thunbergii,which provides a reference for the later prototype test and completes the trial production of the prototype(4)Taking the opening and closing speed of the steering gear opening and closing structure,the inclination angle of the seed feeding area and the height of the seed feeding point from the ground as the main factors,taking the upward index of the bulbil and the crushing index of the seed shell as the performance indexes,the optimal working parameter combination of the seed metering device is obtained.SPSS and design expert 8.0.6 software were used to analyze the test results and verify the optimization results.The results show that when the opening and closing rate is 0.81/s,the inclination angle is 3.98°,and the height from the ground is 50 mm,the upward index of bulbil is 69.42%,and the fragmentation index is 3.74%.(5)The directional seeder of Fritillaria thunbergii was designed and configured comprehensively.The gearbox,electric motor,ditcher,fertilizer discharge device,ridging and covering device and chain drive system were designed and calculated.
