In this study,the whole biodegradable plastic film and ordinary plastic film were used as the control,and the field experiment of potato cultivation with plastic film was carried out in Wuchuan area.The difference of covering effect and economic benefit between degradable plastic film and ordinary plastic film on soil and potato was compared,and the degradation status of plastic film in various places was observed to make clear the controllability of degradable plastic film.Through the experiment of burying plastic film in soil,the degradation characteristics of degradable plastic film buried in soil were studied,and the residual pollution degree was eliminated compared with ordinary plastic film,which provided technical support for the healthy development of plastic film mulching cultivation in arid areas and the popularization and application of controllable fully biodegradable plastic film in Wuchuan County.The main research results were as follows:The thermal insulation performance of fully biodegradable mulch film was better than that of common mulch film.Before the budding stage of potatoes,most of the degradable mulching films were not degraded.Compared with the common mulching films,the biodegradable mulching films obviously increased the soil temperature by 5 cm and 10 cm.From the budding stage to the flowering stage of potatoes,holes and cracks appeared in the mulching films and were degraded.At this time,the warming effect of the mulching films gradually weakened.But the water retention performance than ordinary plastic film has a certain gap.From the budding stage to anthesis of potato.The effects of mulching degradable plastic film on potato growth and yield were obviously different.Compared with no film covered,Potato plants covered with degraded mulch and ordinary mulch increased 0.3 cm?13.1 cm in height and shortened the growth period by 4?6 d.Compared with covered ordinary plastic film,The potato growth period was 2 days earlier,Covering degradable plastic film can improve potato yield.in terms of increasing output.The putout increased by 1.95%to 26.73%with partially degradable plastic film mulching compared with that without plastic film mulching.The putout increased by 6.32%to 11.28%with partially degradable plastic film mulching compared with ordinary plastic film mulching.The input cost per hectare covered with degradable plastic film was 2250.0 yuan and 510.0 yuan higher than that of non-covered plastic film and covered ordinary plastic film respectively.The output value and net income of most degradable plastic film were lower than that of ordinary plastic film,but the output value and net income of covered degradable plastic film No3,No9 and No10 increased by 6.4%to 11.3%,and 10.0%to 30.0%respectively.The controllability of fully biodegradable mulch film was poor.Most of the experimental degradation membranes had a short induction period from covering to the appearance of natural small holes,and did not reach the induction period of 70 ±5 days.With the lapse of covering time,the test degradable plastic film gradually degrades.Five of them degraded after covering for 30 to 35 days,and four kinds of degraded films for 40 to 45 days began to degrade.The degradation of the exposed part of the mulch film was not synchronized with the degradation of the buried soil part.The degradable mulching film did not enter the film-free period during potato harvest.The fully biodegradable mulch film has good degrade performance.After different mulch films were buried in the soil,Most of the fully biodegradable plastic films showed a degradation trend of fast first and then slow,and the degradation degree of ordinary plastic films was very low.After being buried in soil for 180 days,the retention rates of the mechanical properties of degraded film 12 in the transverse and longitudinal directions was 0.0%,and its degradation degree was the highest.The retention rate of elongation at break of other degradable mulching films was lower than 32.7%,while the retention rate of elongation at break in the longitudinal direction of ordinary mulching films was 57.2%.
