This paper studied the effects of different level of tannin from Caragana korshinskii on the serum biochemical indexes, mineral elements content, antioxidant capacity and immune function of sheep.A single-factor completely randomized trial design was used and the experiments were divided into three treatment groups, namely group ?(control group,no tannin in the diet),group ?(2%tannin in the diet)and group ?(4%tannin in the diet).Caragana korshinskii was used as the source of tannin in the diet. The diets of three groups were prepared according to the principle of equal energy and equal nitrogen and processed into fully mixed granules.Fifteen Dorper×Mongolia crossbreed sheep with good health,1 to 1.5 years old and weighing about 40 kg were selected and randomly divided into 3 groups with 5 sheep in each group. The preliminary feeding period lasted for 14 days, and the formal trial period was 75 days.Blood samples were collected from the jugular vein before morning feeding on the 15 d,45 d,and 75 d during the formal trial period.Serum and lymphocytes were separated to determine serum biochemical indexes, antioxidant and immune-related indexes and mineral element content. In addition,mRNA from lymphocytes was extracted to determine antioxidant and immunity related genes expression level. The results show ed that:(1)The content of serum alkaline phosphatase(ALP)in the experimental group ? was significantly higher than that in the control group and the experimental group ?(P<0.05)at different sampling time points and the serum globulin(GLO)content in the experimental group ? was significantly higher than that in the control group and In Group ?(P<0.05),the three groups of sheep serum total protein(TP),white ball ratio(A/G),total bilirubin(TBIL),creatinine(CRE)and triglyceride(TG)were not significant Difference(P>0.05);on day 45,the total serum cholesterol(CHOL),low-density lipoprotein(LDL-C)and high-density lipoprotein(HDL-C)content of sheep serum in groups ? and ? were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).(2)At different sampling time points, the content of iron(Fe)in Groups ? and ? was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),the content of selenium(Se)d in Group ? was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the content of copper(Cu)in Group ?)The content was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference in serum magnesium(Mg)content of the three groups of sheep(P>0.05);on day 45,serum calcium(Ca),potassium(K)and phosphorus in the experimental group ?(P)content were significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).(3)At different sampling time points, the concentrations of serum thioredoxin(TrXR)and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)in the experimental groups ? and ? were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),and were increased at the same time mRNA expression levels of CAT,SOD1,GPx1 and nuclear transcription factor E2 related factor 2(Nrf2)(P<0.05);on days 15 and 45,serum catalase(CAT)and total The total superoxide dismutase(T-SOD)was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).(4)At different sampling time points, the concentrations of serum immunoglobulin A(IgA)and immunoglobulin G(IgG)in Groups ? and ? were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),interleukin-1(3(IL-1(3)And tumor necrosis factor(TNF-?)concentration was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05),compared with the control group significantly reduced IL-1?,TNF-? and nuclear transcription factor-?B(NF-?B)mRNA The expression level(P<0.05):the concentration of serum immunoglobulin M(IgM)in Group ? and Group ? was significantly higher-than that in the control group on Day 15(P<0.05),but the concentration of interleukin-6(IL-6)was significantly lower The control group(P<0.05)significantly reduced the mRNA expression of IL-6 compared with the control group(P<0.05).
