Trees are an important part of the human ecosystem,and tree rings are one of the most important natural attributes,the study of tree rings is becoming particularly important.The traditional tree ring feature extraction method is mainly artificial,which is time-consuming,labor-intensive and error-prone.With the development of digital image processing technology,it provides an efficient method for tree ring extraction from tree ring images.It is possible to get the parameter characteristics of tree rings quickly and accurately.In the process of extracting the characteristics of tree rings parameters,the first step is to extract the ring from the tree ring image.There are many difficulties in this process,such as the ring image is blurred,the gray value is changed,the ring is incomplete and so on,most of these difficulties are caused by saw marks,color spots,knots and other factors.And when the tree rings image is obtained,the movement blur phenomenon exists in the obtained tree ring image.This is due to a series of uncontrollable situations such as the angle of light,the weather,or the moment the camera is exposed,there is movement between the actual tree and so on.For moving fuzzy tree ring images,due to the fact that the sampling area cannot be removed or the tree entity is destroyed,it is difficult to obtain a clear tree ring image again.At this time,image restoration technology can be used to reconstruct the collected tree ring image with blurred movement and obtain a clear tree ring image.For the blurred image caused by saw marks,color spots and other factors,image filtering technology can be used to filter the collected tree ring image to remove the relevant noise,and histogram equalization technology can be used to enhance the quality of the tree ring image.Then further edge extraction and image segmentation were performed on the enhanced tree ring image to extract the ring from the tree ring image;and according to the extracted ring image,the number of rings and the width of rings are measured by using the principle of digital image matrix.Starting from the ring and ring parameters of tree ring image,this paper briefly introduces the relevant techniques of digital image processing used to extract the ring in tree ring image.For the obtained tree-ring images,the image quality evaluation parameters are used to determine which tree-ring images need to be restored.Different restoration algorithms are used to process the tree ring images that need to be restored,and it is found that wiener filtering has a better restoration effect on the moving fuzzy tree ring images with or without noise interference.The edge of the processed tree ring image was extracted.The advantages and disadvantages of different edge extraction algorithms in processing tree ring images were analyzed by using different edge extraction algorithms to extract tree ring images.And Combine with the requirement of measuring ring parameters.The edge detection algorithm based on Do G operator was selected and improved.By adjusting the size of the parameters,a satisfactory tree ring image processing effect was finally obtained.Based on the Hough transformation and K-medoids principle,the pith was located,and the rectangular image was intercepted with the size of 15 px below the pith heart as the standard.And Based on the rectangular image,a reasonable method for measuring the number and width of annual rings was proposed,and a matrix calculation was performed on the rectangular image to complete the measurement of annual ring parameters.The experimental results show that the method can get the relative parameters of the rings accurately.Finally,the method proposed in this paper has better realized the work that needs to be completed in this paper,and the accuracy is high,the error between the number of measured rings and the actual number is small,and the average ring width is also relatively accurate.
