In this study, the Greater Khingan Mountains of Inner Mongolia forest was taken as the research object.Meteorological data from five meteorological stations in the Greater Khingan Mountains of Inner Mongolia forest and four Landsat series(Landsat5 and Landsat 8)remote sensing images in 1988,1998,2008 and 2018 were used as the data basis. Methods of superposition analysis, inverse distance weighting, correlation analysis, and center of gravity transfer were used to explore the characteristics of forest health changes in the Greater Khingan Mountains of Inner Mongolia during the period from 1988 to 2018,as well as the response relationship between forest health changes and climate. For forest protection and recovery is not health,sub-health,forest planting vegetation to give theoretical support. The results are as follows:(1)Climatic characteristicsDuring the period from 1988 to 2018,the temperature in the study area showed an upward trend, and the rainfall and evaporation amount showed a downward trend. In this period, the spatial pattern of low temperature and high temperature in the north, more rainfall in the north and less rainfall in the south, and less evaporation in the north and more evaporation in the south is dominant.(2)The Greater Khingan Mountains of Inner Mongolia forest health characteristicsFrom the time scale, the forest health status in the Greater Khingan Mountains of Inner Mongolia mainly showed a downward trend from 1988 to 1998,an upward trend from 1998 to 2008,and a downward trend from 2008 to 2018.From the spatial scale, the forest health of Inner Mongolia in the Greater Khingan Mountain is mainly concentrated in the mixed coniferous and broadleaf forests, and the unhealthy,sub-healthy and high-quality healthy forests are gradually transferred to the northern coniferous forest region, among which the healthy forests are gradually transferred to the southern deciduous broad-leaved forest region.(3)The Greater Khingan Mountains of Inner Mongolia forest health and climate response relationshipFrom the forest health and climate response analysis:the Greater Khingan Mountains of Inner Mongolia from 1988 to 2018 in three forest region when the temperature is relatively low, relatively high rainfall and evaporation, forest health condition is relatively good; From phase relational analysis shows that temperature compared with rainfall, evaporation, and the correlation of forest health is higher in Inner Mongolia, show the negative correlation.
