In recent years,the cultivation and production of muskmelon(Cucumas melo L.)has expanded in Guangxi.However,the two soil-borne diseases of melon wilt and southern root-knot nematode disease have become more and more serious.Grafting cultivation of disease-tolerance/disease-resistant rootstocks is one of the simple and effective methods to solve the soil-borne diseases of melons.However,the current reports of muskmelon rootstock varieties resistant to Fusarium wilt and southern root-knot nematodes are urgently needed to develop new varieties of melon rootstocks.In this study,the hybrid combinations of pumpkins and muskmelons stored in the research group were used as materials.The 23 hybrids were inoculated with artificial greenhouse inoculation to melon wilt and southern root-knot nematodes at the seedling stage.Disease resistance;further using muskmelon 'Good Luck 11' as scion,rootstock melon with good disease resistance and squash as rootstock to investigate its graft survival rate and grafted plant field growth and development,yield and fruit quality Situation,in order to screen out excellent rootstock germplasm materials with good affinity for muskmelon,meanwhile,resistance to fusarium wilt disease and resistance to southern root-knot nematode,to provide candidate materials for new muskmelon disease-resistant rootstock varieties.The main results of this study are as follows:1.23 rootstocks(18 pumpkins and 5 melons)were used to inoculate melon wilt disease by wound root irrigation,the results showed that 10 of 23 materials showed high resistance and 12 were Disease resistance,1 is susceptible.Among them,the combination with high resistance was pumpkin for anvil;7 of the combinations with disease resistance were pumpkin for anvil,5 were melon for anvil;1 for infection was pumpkin for anvil.2.Identify the resistance of southern root-knot nematodes to 23 rootstock materials.The results show that these rootstock materials are highly sensitive to southern root-knot nematodes.Therefore,these 23 rootstock materials were further evaluated against southern roots by 12 relative growth indicators.The resistance of knot nematodes showed that root length,dry weight below ground and root surface area were most affected,while chlorophyll content,stem thickness and plant height were least affected.A membership function analysis was performed on 12 relative growth indicators.The 10 rootstock combinations with growth indicators less affected by nematodes were NC08 × N01,N10 × NC03,N01 × NC18,NC07 × NC08,NC07 × N03 T,NC02 × NZ02,NC09 × NZ02,NC02 × NC09,NC09 T × NC01 and NC08 × NC03,showed a certain resistance to southern root-knot nematodes.3.Muskmelon 'Good Luck 11' was used as the scion,and it was grafted with 10 hybrid pumpkin hybrids with high resistance to melon wilt,and the results showed that there were 4 combinations(N10 × NC02,NC07 × N03 T,NC08 × N01 and NC09 × NZ02)of graft survival rate reached or exceeded 90%.A membership function analysis of the 12 growth indicators at the seedling stage showed that all hybrid combinations performed better than CK at the seedling stage.In terms of growth indexes after field colonization,the combination NC02 × NC09,NC08 × N01,NC09 × NZ02 and NC10 × NC18 performed best.In this experiment,all rootstocks had no obvious effect on the scion flowering period and flowering node.After grafting,only have the single fruit weight of two combinations(N10 × NC02 and NC02 × NC09)was significantly higher than that of CK(P <0.05),and their fruit length and diameter and pulp thickness were greater than CK.After grafting,the fruit shape of most combinations tends to be unchanged or oblong,and the flesh hardness becomes higher.After grafting,the sensory quality of the fruit decreased to different degrees compared with CK,but the combination NC09 × NZ02 improved.The membership function analysis of fruit nutritional quality and fruit mineral nutritional content,the 9 numbers that performed better than CK in fruit nutritional quality were: N10 × NC02,N10 × NC03,NC02 × NC09,NC07 × N03 T,NC07 × NC08,NC08 × N01,NC09 × NZ02,NC10 × NC18 and NC17 × NX01.The 4 numbers that performed better than CK in terms of fruit mineral nutrition content were: N04 × N07,NC07 × NC08,NC08 × N01,and NC17 × NX01.4.In summary,from the four aspects of melon wilt disease resistance and southern root-knot nematode disease resistance,grafting affinity,Single fruit weight and fruit quality,N10×NC02,NC07×N03T,NC08×N01 and NC09×NZ02 can be considered as a good msukmelon rootstock candidate combination.
