Fertilizer can provide nutrients for the growth and development of crops,which is conducive to the improvement of soil structure and production performance.It is an important means agricultural production.Silicon fertilizer is one of the medium element fertilizers,which is a good quality fertilizer,health fertilizer and plant regulatory fertilizer.Silicon fertilizer not only can provide nutrients,but also can be used to improve the soil,and also has the function of insect prevention,disease prevention and virus reduction.Rice is one of the main food crops and also one of the crops with large demand for silicon.Silicon is an important component of the cell wall of rice plant.Whether the supply of silicon is sufficient or not is closely related to the lodging of rice stem.Moreover,silicon can improve the absorption ability of rice to nitrogen,phosphorus,potassium and other nutrients,inhibit the absorption of harmful elements,promote the photosynthesis of rice,and improve the resistance ability and disease resistance ability of rice.The rice transplanting cultivation model has been widely used in Shanghai farm due to its high quality and high yield.In recent years,Shanghai farm has endured a very wet climate in summer,which has negative effects on rice production and quality.In order to look for management methods for increasing machine-assisted rice productionand reducing the negative effects on rice quality caused by the summer rainstorm,late-inserting machine and “rice silicon-powered” silicon fertilizer were used to test the effects on rice production and quality.2 kg mu-1 of silicon fertilizer was applied in the middle and late tillers of late planting rice and flooded rice,the incidence of tillering,final population,grains per spike,1000-grain weight,yield,and benefits in the test area and the control area were surveyed after the adding of silicon fertilizer.The results showed that: silicon fertilizer can significantly improve the number of tillers and effective panicles of late-staged inserted rice.The silicon fertilizer also increased the content of chlorophyll,the grain weight,and ultimately had a positive effect on the rice yield;The silicon fertilizer alsosignificantly promoted the number of tillersand panicles,the grain weight and rice yield in flooded rice,but had nearly no effects on plant morphology,content of chlorophyll and grain filling and,negative effects on the number of grains per panicle.The managements with silicon fertilizer both improved the benefit for late-staged inserted rice and flooded rice.
