Research On The Construction Of The Presentation System Of Tanglai Canal Heritage Irrigation Structure In Ningxia Based On Heritage Cognition

Tanglai Canal heritage irrigation structure is the canal system formed from Qin and Han Dynasty,consisting of main canals,branch canals,head ditches and field ditches.And it is the irrigation system with the largest irrigated area and longest main canal of the Ningxia Ancient Yellow River Irrigation System which is the first world heritage on the main stream of the Yellow River.It is also an important material carrier to construct the unique historical landscape of Yinchuan city.At the same time,under the background of the government's emphasis on "promoting the systematic protection and development of the historical and cultural heritage of the Yellow River",as the essence of Ningxia Ancient Yellow River Irrigation System,Tanglai Canal is an important representative of the cultural heritage of the Yellow River,so it is urgent to present it systematically and effectively.However,there is limited research on the cognition and presentation of the Tanlai canal,the Ningxia Ancient Yellow River Irrigation System,even the World Heritage Irrigation Structure.Incomplete identification of heritage elements and unclear judgment of heritage value affect the integrity and accuracy of the objects and contents of heritage presentation.Meanwhile,there are also some problems such as lack of accessibility and readability,lack of convenience and comfort in heritage tour.Eventually these problems led to the public on Tanglai Canal cognition and protection consciousness is not enough.Therefore,the research needs to be from the cognition of Tanglai Canal heritage,cognize the composition and value of the heritage completely and accurately.Effective and systematic presentation of Tanglai Canal can enhance the public's cognition of Tanglai canal heritage and prevent further damage to the integrity of it and its environment by urban construction,and help Tanglai canal fit into the modern city life.The research is not only a positive response to the national policy,but also an exploration of the theory and methods of protection and utilization of emerging heritage types.And it can also solve the problem of reality.So in the field of heritage protection,it is an urgent issue with important theoretical and practical significance.The study is divided into four parts.The first part is based on the interpretation of the international charter and related theoretical basis,with defining the basic concepts,objectives and principles of heritage presentation,making clear the connotation and method of heritage cognition and its relationship with heritage presentation,clarifying the basic path of building a presentation system of heritage.The second part,the study finds the current problem and its causes through the analysis of history and current situation,making clear that the presentation of Tanglai Canal heritage should be from heritage cognition,which is identification of heritage elements and judgment of heritage value.Then building the presentation system.The third part focuses on the Tanglai Canal in central city region of Yinchuan.Cognize the constituent elements of Tanglai Canal heritage collectively and systematically through identifying the heritage elements.Then judge the Tanglai Canal heritage value referring to the domestic guidelines and the criteria of the world heritage's OUV.The research is based on the value carrier and value information to identify the content of presentation.The fourth part,on the analysis of the Tanglai Canal heritage's features and the summary of relevant case experience,a presentation system based on " presentation route –design of the heritage entity-presentation and interpretation facilities-identification system-supporting facilities" is preliminarily constructed.And suggestions on control and implementation assurance are put forward.This study is based on the current problems of Tanglai Canal heritage's presentation.Starting with heritage cognition,clarifying the content of presentation based on the identification of heritage elements and heritage value judgment,learning from relevant case experience based on the characteristics of Tanglai Canal heritage,taking the construction of heritage presentation system as the foothold,a presentation system based on " presentation route –design of the heritage entity-presentation facilities-identification system-supporting facilities" is preliminarily constructed.During this process,the constituent elements and heritage value of Tanglai Canal Heritage are clarified.Finally it is proposed that combining the presentation of Tanglai Canal heritage with construction of urban green infrastructure is the future research direction of the subject.This research provides a cognition frame and presentation methods that other similar heritage irrigation structures can use for reference,and the research can also give a foundation to research on the cognition,presentation of the whole Tanglai Canal and even the Ningxia Ancient Yellow River Irrigation System.
