The effects of yellow feather chickens fed diets with different level of bile acid(substituded with wheat bran)on the production performance, serum indicators, intestinal morphology and histology were studied and the optimum level of bile acid in diet was ascertained to improve the production performance, immune function, intestinal health, and reduce the incidence of disease of yellow feather broiler chickens. This study was combined with the practice production and nutritional requirements of yellow feather chickens in Qinghai Province and will provide assistant for efficient and green production of yellow feather broiler chickens in the Qinghai agricultural area.320 1-day-old yellow feather broiler chickens(roosters)were selected and randomly divided into 4 groups.Test 1 as a control group was fed basic diet.Group 2,Group 3 and Group 4 were added 0.025%,0.05% and 0.075% bile acidwere used to replace the bran in the basic dietand the feeding test was implemented 35 days in farm. The results showed that:(1)The effect of bile acid on the production performance and serum indexes of yellow feather broiler chickens: the feed conversion ratio was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the daily weight gain of 0.025% bile acid added diet was significantly higher than that of control group(P<0.05),but there was no significant effects on daily consumption and mortality rate(P>0.05);The content of Ig A,Ig G and Ig M in the serum of 7-and 21-day-old yellow-feather chicks fed diet with bile acid significantly increased compare with control group(P<0.05);The content of glucose, total protein and globulin in the serum of 7-day-old yellow feather chickens fed diets with bile acid were increased and the content of triglycerides in the serum were higher in 21-day-old yellow chickens fed with bile acid diets.Meantime the content of cholesterol in the serum of 7-day-old feather chickens fed with 0.025% and 0.05% bile acid diet were lower than that in control group, the content of cholesterol in the serum of 7-day-old yellow feather chickens fed diet with bile acid was significantly lower than that of the control group. The content of globulin in the serum of 21-day-old yellow feather chickens fed diets with 0.025% and 0.075% bile acid were significantly higher than that in control group. The content of triglyceride in the serum was significantly reduced in group 0.075% bile acid diet to feed 7-day-old yellow feather chickens. The glucose in the serum were significantly increased in 21-day-old yellow feather chickens fed diet with 0.025% and 0.05% bile acid.Based on the above results,it is concluded that the content of immune globulin and blood biochemical indicators were increased and the immune function and production performance were improved in yellow feather broiler chickens fed diets with bile acid.(2)The effect of bile acid on the intestinal morphology and histology of yellow feather chickens: The length and weight of the duodenum, the weight of cecum of 7-day-old yellow feather chickens fed diet with bile acid and the length of cecum and weight of jejunum of 21-day-old yellow feather chickens fed diet with bile acid were significantly increased compare with control group. The cecum length of in 7-day-old chickens fed diets with 0.025% and 0.075% and the weight of ileum in 21-day-old chickens fed diets with 0.025% and 0.075% were significantly increased compare with control group. The weight of 21-day-old duodenum in chickens fed diet with 0.025% bile acid were significant increased compare with control group. The height of the intestinal villi, crept depth and the thickness of intestinal muscle were significant increased in 7-and 21-day-old yellow feather broilers fed diet with bile acid. The crept depth of ileum in 7-day-old and duodenum in 21-day-old and the thickness of ileum muscle in 7-day-old yellow feather chickens fed diet with 0.05% and 0.075% bile acid were significant increased compare with other groups. The crept depth of jejunum were higher in 7-day-old yellow feather chickens fed diet with 0.075% bile acid. The height of villi in ileum and the value V/C in duodenum were higher in 7-day-old yellow feather chickens fed diet with 0.025% and 0.075% bile acid. The thickness and the value V/C of ileum were higher in 21-day-old yellow feather chickens fed with 0.025% bile acid. The distribution density of goblet cells of small intestine were increased 7-day-old and 21-day-old yellow feather chickens fed diet with bile acid. The number of vasoactive intestinal peptide-positive cells in duodenum of 7-day-old and in small intestine of 21-day-old yellow feather chickens fed diet with 0.025% and 0.075% bile acid were higher than that of control group. The number of vasoactive intestinal peptide-positive cells were higher in jejunum and ileum of 7-day-old yellow feather chickens fed diet with 0.05% and 0.075% bile acid.In summary,it is concluded that 0.025%bile acid added diet could improve the structure of intestinal mucosa and increase the distribution density of goblet cells and vasoactive intestinal peptide cells in yellow feather chickens.Based on the above indexes,it is concluded that 0.025% bile acid is the most appropriate addition amount.
