Investigation On Brucella Infection Of Dogs And Cats In Shengyang Of Liaoning Province

Brucellosis is a bacterial zoonotic disease that seriously threatens human health.Brucellosis mainly includes b.bortus(bovine brucellosis),b.melitensis(Malta brucellosis(sheep brucellosis),brucellosis(pig brucellosis)and brucellosis(sheep epididymis).Different kinds of animals(including wild animals)are susceptible to brucellosis,especially the common susceptibility of cattle,sheep and pigs,sick cattle,sheep and pigs can infect other animals,mainly through the digestive tract,followed by skin and mucosal trauma,bloodsucking insects bite,mating to spread the disease.Brucellosis mainly affects the reproductive system of animals,which can cause abortion and reproductive function decline of female livestock,male livestock reproductive function decline,so that livestock owners in the economic cause of irreversible losses.To further understand the prevalence of brucellosis in dogs and cats in shenyang,liaoning province.This experimental study investigated brucellosis in dogs and cats collected from regular pet hospitals in different regions of shenyang,liaoning province from 2018 to 2019.Serological investigation of animal brucella tiger red plate agglutination test was carried out on the serum isolated from blood.The DNA of blood cells was extracted by Trizol method as the template for polymerase chain reaction(PCR),brucella AMOS PCR and brucella bruce-ladder multiple PCR.In molecular biology experiments by detecting whether the sample DNA has the desired target fragment.The results of huhong plate agglutination test were compared with those of PCR method.Brucella AMOS PCR and brucella bruce-ladder multiple PCR typing results were compared,AMOS PCR has limitations.Data analysis and typing detection were carried out on the infection rate and epidemic strains of brucellosis in dogs and cats in shenyang city,liaoning province.Among the 372 blood samples collected at shenyang normal pet hospital in liaoning province,201 were from dogs and 171 from cats.The experimental results showed that the serological positive rates of brucella in shenyang,liaoning province from 2018 to 2019 were 6.97% and 1.75%,respectively.According to gender,age and body size,serological positive rate was 8.57% in male dogs,5.21% in female dogs,2.67% in male cats and 1.04% in female cats.The infection rate of dogs aged 3 years and above was 8.91%,that of dogs aged 1-3 years was 6.10%,and that of dogs under 1 year old was 0.The infection rate of cats aged 3 years and above was 3.06%,that of cats aged 1-3 years was 0,and that of cats younger than 3 years was 0.The positive rate was 6.67% for small dogs,4.55% for medium dogs and 8.54% for large dogs.From 2018 to 2019,the positive rates of brucella in pet dogs and cats detected by PCR in shenyang city,liaoning province were 5.47% and 0.58%,respectively.According to gender,age and body size,serological positive rate was 7.61% for male dogs,3.13% for female dogs,1.34% for male cats and 0 for female cats.The infection rate for dogs age 3 and older was 7.92 percent.The infection rate of dogs aged 1-3 years was 3.66%,and that of dogs less than 1 year old was 0.The infection rate in cats over 3 years old was 1.02%.The infection rate of 1-3-year-old cats was 0.The positive rate was 4.00% for small dogs,4.55% for medium dogs and 7.32% for large dogs.Through the analysis of serological positive rate and positive rate detected by PCR method,it was found that adult cats were more susceptible than juvenile cats,males than females,and males than females.Small and large dogs are more susceptible than medium dogs.According to the comprehensive analysis of age,sex,body size and other factors,it may be related to mating infection.Brucella Canis is the most popular strain of pet dogs and cats in shenyang,liaoning province.The results of this study provide scientific basis for the prevention and control of brucellosis in pet dogs and cats in shenyang,liaoning province,and confirm the existence of brucellosis in dogs.Pet dogs and cats detected rough type brucellosis can be treated and cured by sterilization to avoid transmission to other animals.Pet dogs and cats detected smooth type brucellosis to be euthanized,and pet owners tested for brucellosis to lay a foundation for the eradication of brucellosis.
