Objective: The aim of this study was to assess clinical efficacy of arthroscopic tenodesis with modified double-row technique for isolated type Ⅱ SLAP lesions. Methods: From June 2011 to March 2015,37 patients(17 men,20 women;mean age,48 years)with isolated type Ⅱ SLAP lesions were treated with arthroscopic modified double-row technique.University of California Los Angeles(UCLA)shoulder score, visual analogue scale(VAS)and Constant-Murley shoulder score(CS)were evaluated preoperatively and postoperatively. Results: All patients were followed up for an average of 26.8 months. The mean of CS,UCLA and VAS scores were significantly improved from 52.08,12.95 and 6.08 preoperatively to 93.46,33.03 and 0.86 at the last follow-up,respectively(P<0.001 for all). There was no postoperative incidence of persist bicipital groove pain and Popeye syndrome reported. Conclusion: Arthroscopic tenodesis with modified double-row technique could provide a satisfactory efficacy in the treatment of type Ⅱ SLAP lesions. The modified technique could be an alternative and reliable option for type Ⅱ SLAP lesions treatment.
