Objective:To investigate the effects of using hard asphalt and promoting oil on wound healing after operation of anal abscess. In order to achieve the purpose of shortening wound healing time after anal abscess operation, reducing patient’s pain, reducing the size of postoperative scar to protect anal function to the maximum extent and effectively preventing postoperative edema, pain and infection,we applied traditional Chinese medicine on the wound at different healing stages, according to the growth of the wound,we combined traditional Chinese medicine with the objective data of the modern medicine, through observing objective data and detecting with or without adverse reactions throughout the treatment,to evaluate the efficacy of whether hard asphalt and promoting oil can accelerate wound healing and protect anal function to maximum extent after operation of anal abscess. The results provide a general pattern of healing time for anal abscess incision and providing evidence-based data support on clinical anal abscess research,at the same time,if the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine that used for participants in this research is positively agreed, they can be made and widely used in clinical settings to help more patients.Method:125 patients with anal abscess administrated in the third People’s Hospital of Chengdu in Sichuan province from 2014 to 2016 were included in the observation, randomly divided into two groups, control group(60 patients)and observation group(65 patients). All patients underwent open radical surgery for anal abscess. After the operation, antibiotics were used depending on patients’ condition, they were asked to have semi-liquidized diet for two days and to control defecation for two days. Then participants were asked to defecate once daily, sitting in 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution to wash after defecation and changed dressing. The control group was treated with gentamicin gauze dressing during wound inflammation phase, granulation growth phase and epithelial growth phase, the observation group used different traditional Chinese medicine in various healing stages,self-made bitter asphalt gauze dressing was used at wound inflammation phase and promoting oil gauze dressing was applied at the granulation growth phase and the epithelial growth phase. Both groups were treated for four weeks. After four weeks of treatment, the therapeutic effects, wound area reduction rate, dead tissue detaching time, wound healing time, wound secretions, granulation tissue growth and scale of the wound pain for two groups of participants were compared, clinical data was collected for statistical analysis and efficacy evaluation.Result:The cure rate of the observation group(treated with hard asphalt and promoting oil dressing at different healing stages)was 80.0%,significantly higher than that of the control group(treated with gentamicin gauze dressing throughout wound healing)63.3%(P<0.05),wound area reduction rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, dead tissue detaching time and wound healing time were significantly shorter than control group(P<0.05).Data was collected and compared at the first week, second week and the fourth week after surgery, the wound pain score, granulation tissue growth score, wound secretion score of the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).In clinical observation, the use of self-made bitter asphalt gauze dressing and promoting oil gauze dressing at various stages after anal abscess surgery has significant effects on shortening wound healing time, reducing patient’s pain, reducing the size of postoperative scar and protecting anal function to the maximum extent. The postoperative edema for observation group did not reduce obviously when compared with control group, more research need to be conducted to demonstrate.Through observation and comparison,in the incidence of adverse reactions. Conclusion:For the patients with anal abscess after operation, the treatment effect can be effectively improved by using the staging of bitter tar and promoting oil, which can promote wound healing and reduce postoperative pain,it can also reduce postoperative scar and protect the anal function, and is safe and effective,so it’s worth clinical promoting.
