ObjectiveTo investigate the supportive care needs of patients with lung cancer and analyze the influencing factor; To understand the dynamic changes of supportive care needs and quality of life of patients with lung cancer in three time points and analyze their correlation; To provide a implications for the key time points of intervention in each stage and to improve the quality of life of patients more efficiently MethodsThis research adopted the cross-sectional and longitudinal design, which includes the following two parts:1.Cross-sectional survey of the supportive care needs and its influencing factors among 312 lung cancer patients who were selected form a three three-grade hospitals by convenient sampling, patients were surveyed with the Supportive Care Needs Survey short form(SCNS-SF34)and the demographic questionnaire.2.longitudinal study of the supportive care needs and quality of life of patients: on the basis of the current survey,100 patients with primary lung cancer were followed up.The Supportive Care Needs Survey short form(SCNS-SF34)and the Functional Assessment of Cancer therapy-lung cancer(FACT-L)were used and the investigation was carried out at the time of diagnosis, three months after diagnosis and six months after the diagnosis.Results1.A total of supportive care needs for lung cancer patients was(110.28 ± 21.72),and(3.24± 0.64)averagely,and the health information needs was the highest(4.05 ± 0.68),and the sexual needs were the lowest(2.22 ± 1.18).2.Multiple linear regression analysis suggested that age, education, marital status,Per capita monthly income of the family, understanding of disease,if primary treatment and clinical stages were important factors affecting patients' supportive care needs(P<0.05).3.The scores of supportive care needs and each dimension of lung cancer patients at different time points were statistically significant(P < 0.05).The total score, physiological and daily life needs and psychological needs of lung cancer patients increased in three months after the diagnosis, and then decreased gradually. The needs for support and health information, the sexual decreased firstly, and then increased gradually.4.The score of life quality and each dimension were statistically significant at three time points(P<0.05).The scores of QOL,physiological, emotional and lung cancer specific symptoms of lung cancer patients all decreased at first and then increased, and all reached the highest level in the six months after the diagnosis.Social / family status scores are increasing with the duration of treatment.5.Multiple dimensions of supporting care needs at different time points were negatively correlated with the quality of life.Conclusion1.All patients with lung cancer have unmet needs, among them the health information needs were significantly and the supportive care needs were influenced by a variety of factors.2.With the development of the treatment stage, the supportive care needs for lung cancer patients were dynamic. It was indicated that the medical staff should formulate specific intervention measures at the current stage of patients' treatment. The QOL of patients with lung cancer changed with the time of treatment. And the worst was three months after the diagnosis.Suggesting that the three months after the diagnosis was an important time to improve the patient's QOL.3.The supportive care needs of the patients with lung cancer were negatively correlated with QOL in the whole treatment stage, indicating that the more the patient's needs was,the worse the QOL was.It is suggested that in the clinic the evaluation and satisfaction of the unmet needs needs should be paid more attention.
