The Specialties Of Body Image,Self-esteem And Its Connection With Emotion Distress In SLE Patients

Objective To investigate the level of.body image,self-esteem and emotion distress and the relationship between them.we analysis the general demographic data and disease-related conditions on psychological distress.We aimed to set up a intervention to reduce psychological distress from the perspective of body image,self-esteem for systemic lupus erythematosus patients.Method The patients with SLE who were hospitalized in the top five hospitals in Anhui province from July 2016 to January 2017 were selected as the research objects.The general design of the questionnaire was used to investigate the general socio-demographic information and disease-related data of SLE patients.The Body Image Concern Inventory,Self-esteem scale and psychological distress management scale were used to assess the level of body image,self-esteem and psychological distress in SLE patients respectively.Correlation Analysis was used to analyze the relationship between body image,self-esteem and psychological distress.we set body image and psychological distress as dependent variables and general demographic factors,self-esteem and body image as the independent variable.The multiple linear regression analysis was used to explore the relationship between psychological distress,self-esteem and body image further.Results part1:A total of 184 patients with SLE was invested.The score of body image is(50.96±9.54).The score of self-esteem is(34.26±5.32).The score of psychological distress is(5.07±2.63).part2:Correlation analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between body image and psychological distress(r = 0.52,P <0.05)and a negative correlation between self-esteem and psychological distress(r =-0.34,P <0.05)part3: The marital status' difference lead to the difference in the psychological distress(p<0.05),the difference in age and education level lead and to the difference in the psychological distress by Single factor analysis(p<0.05).part4:we set body image and psychological distress as dependent variables and general demographic factors,self-esteem and body image as the independent variable.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that body image,self-esteem,marital status and age are the influencing factors of psychological distress.Self-esteem has a negative predictive effect on psychological distress and body image has a positive predictive effect on psychological distress.Conclusions The skin damage cased by the disease and long-term hormone therapy in SLE patients makes the appearance and shape of body change.This change affect the body imagine and self-esteem to aggravate the psychological distress.At present,the body image,self-esteem and psychological distress of SLE patients are not optimistic.Body image,self-respect and psychological distress are closely related,and there is a correlation between body image,self-esteem and psychological distress,which should arouse researchers' attention and understand the inner relationship.Body image,self-esteem,marital status and age affect the psychological distress.Self-esteem had a negative predictive effect on psychological distress.body image and psychological distress were positively correlated with psychological distress and had a positive predictive effect on psychological distress.
