| Objective:Using anxiety symptom with irritable bowel syndrome as an example,to study the relevance of positive points and disease symptoms, and to provide clinical evidence of the truth that the external representation reflects the internal. Methods:Unified questionnaire surveys were implemented by included 70 patients to collect the information of irritable bowel syndrome symptom severity scale and self-rating anxiety scale. Then pretibial area positive points were examined by pressing method. The check lines included left front line(LF),left middle line(LM),left rear line(LR),right front line(RF),right middle line(RM),and right rear line(RR).All six lines were divided into 16 parts equally. The positive points were recorded as LFO-16,LMO-16,LRO-16,RFO-16,RMO-16,and RRO-16.Frequency analyses and correlation analyses of the number of positive points and the severity of irritable bowel syndrome and anxiety were performed by SPSS24.0.Association rule analyses of the positive points and the severity of irritable bowel syndrome and anxiety were performed by STATISTICA10.0.Results:RM3(72.86%),LM3(64.29%),LM6(45.71%),RM6(45.71%),LM12(28.57%),LM9(27.14%),LM4(20%),and RM9(20%)were the high frequency positive points(greater than or equal to 20%).Positive points distributed mainly near RM3,LM3,RM6,LM6,RM9,LM9,RM12,and LM12.The number of positive points in left pretibial area was lager than in right pretibial area(P<0.05),in upper half of pretibial area was lager than in bottom half(P<0.05),and in LF and RM was lager than in other four lines(P<0.05).The positive correlation was found between the total numbers of positive points and the irritable bowel syndrome symptom severity scale score or the self-rating anxiety scale score or the severity of irritable bowel syndrome or the severity of anxiety symptom(P<0.01).The positive correlation was found between the numbers of regional pretibial area positive points(left and right, upper and bottom, and front, middle and rear)and the irritable bowel syndrome symptom severity scale score or the self-rating anxiety scale score or the severity of irritable bowel syndrome or the severity of anxiety symptom(P<0.01).There were four association rules between mild irritable bowel syndrome and pretibial area positive points, respectively was LM3,RM3,LM6,and RM6.There were four association rules between mild anxiety and pretibial area positive points, respectively was RM3,LM3,RM6,and LM6.There were three association rules between moderate irritable bowel syndrome and pretibial area positive points, respectively was RM3,LM12,and LM3.There was one association rule between moderate anxiety and pretibial area positive points, respectively was RM3.LM3 was equal to left ST36,RM3 was equal to right ST36,LM4 was equal to 1 inch under left ST36,LM6 was equal to left ST37,RM6 was equal to right ST37,LM9 was equal to left ST39,RM9 was equal to right ST39,LM12 was equal to 3 inches under left ST39,and RM12 was equal to 3 inches under right ST39.Conclusion:Some distribution rules of pretibial area positive points in patients with irritable bowel syndrome accompanied by anxiety symptom were found.Obvious correlations between pretibial area positive points and the severity of irritable bowel syndrome or anxiety symptom were confirmed. In acupuncture clinical practice,we need to pay attention to the important role of pretibial area positive points for diagnosing and treating irritable bowel syndrome accompanied by anxiety symptom in future. |
