Clinical Observation Of Postoperative Artificial Cervical Disc Replacement Using Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction

Objective: Artificial Cervical Disc Replacement(ACDR)are commonly surgical treatments for the cervical degeneration disease.Spinal cord and nerve root was pressed by a mechanical compression,The method of ACDR can remove compression,But neural function has been restored in postoperation,The limb numbness and pain symptoms after surgery is still common,This study define the efficacy and feasibility of ACDR methods in clinical practice,and observe weather using Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction in early postoperation could restore numbness symptoms;Methods: This study selected 35 patients who hospitalized in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine hospital during the October 2015 to March 2017 year suffered from cervical degenerative disease。Those patients were divided into ACDR group and ACDR+ HQGZWWD group,which including 25 invalid of ACDR group and 10 invalid of ACDR+HQGZWWD.the type of disease,progression,segmental lesions,conservative treatment time and preoperative VAS,NDI,JOA score,cervical degeneration and disc degeneration has no significant differences(P > 0.05),Two post-operative Group were compared by VAS,JOA,NDI score in three、six and one year;The group of ACDR were compared with the change of Cobb’s degree by radiographs in preoperative and last following up;Flexion/Extension images was used by comparing with preoperative and postoperative ACDR group in the Range of motion(ROM)of cervical vertebra;The patient of ADCR+HWGZWWD group had taken HWGZWWD medicine one week after the surgery and taken a month,which was Compared with ACDR group through VAS,JOA,and NDI;Results: Two group had no one losing follow-up(FU),the time of FU for one year,no implant displacement,prolapse and other complications.The symptom and function of two groups patient were obviously relieved,which pass through NDI,JOA and VAS scores comparing with preoperative(P<0.05).contrasting between the two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05)by NDI,JOA and VAS score;In the last FU,The group of ACDR and ACDR+HQGZWWD was no significant difference(P>0.05)assessing by VAS,JOA and NDI scores;Conclusion: ACDR early follow-up obtain good clinical effect in the treatment of cervical degenerative disease,but still need to comparative study on the long-term clinical observation,There has no obvious improvement of numbness symptoms when using HQGZWWD in postoperative.
