Objective: To investigate the depression,anxiety and sleep quality of medical staff in a third-class hospital in Hu Nan province(Yongzhou Central Hospital)and analyze the influencing factors,so as to provide a theoretical basis for taking relevant measures to improve the mental health of medical staff.Methods: The clinical doctors and nurses in Yongzhou Central Hospital were investigated by conducting questionnaire survey with the department as a unit in an anonymous and voluntary way.Survey instrument: Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS),Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Pittsburgh sleep quality index scale(PSQI),Personal general situation questionnaire(Including gender,position,education,professional title,department,age,marital status,birth history,whether one-child,family economic situation,sleep environment,physical health condition).The original data were collated and recorded into Excel 2007 database,and the data were analyzed by using IBM SPSS 20 software.Statistical methods included statistical description,T test,Chi-square test and Multivariate Logistic regression analysis.Results:1.The prevalence of depression,anxiety and sleep disorders in medical staff in Yongzhou Central Hospital were 45.8%,37.1% and 35.6% respectively.The SDS standard score,SAS standard score and PSQI score were higher than domestic norm.This indicated that the medical staff’s Mental health in our hospital was more serious than average group.2.It had proved significant different by statistics that different gender,position,education,professional title,family economic situation,sleep environment,physical health condition had respective influence on medical staff’s Mental health.However,there were no statistically significant difference in depression,anxiety and sleep quality between different departments,ages,marital status,birth history,and whether one-child.3.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis suggested that female medical staff had more serious psychological problems than male medical staff,and nurses had more serious psychological problems than doctors.Poor family economic conditions,barren sleeping conditions and insufficient health conditions contributed to the risk of depression,anxiety and sleep disorders among medical staff.Conclusion: It is obvious that the phenomenon of depression,anxiety and sleep disorder in our hospital medical staff is not optimistic.We should pay more attention to it and take relevant measures to improve the mental health level of medical staff.
