Object: By conducting an epidemiological survey on the sleep quality of young medical staff in Lanzhou City and using cross-sectional study questionnaires,we statistics and analysis of the data to understand the incidence of sleep disorders,the incidence of excessive daytime sleep among young medical staff in Lanzhou City and analyze its related influencing factors to provide a theoretical basis for improving the quality of sleep of medical staff.Method: According to the inclusion exclusion criteria,some young medical staff from four provincial-level tertiary hospitals in Lanzhou were surveyed,and the general basic information questionnaire,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Scale(PSQI),and Epworth Sleepiness Scale(ESS)were completed and measure the data.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 22.0 statistical software to derive relevant factors affecting sleep quality.Results: The total of 723 people was surveyed with an average age of(27 ± 5.3)years.The PSQI score of medical staff was(6.20 ± 3.96),the 254 of them were sleep disorders,the prevalence of sleep disorders is 35.1%.Among them,the differences among different departments of medical staff,night shift group and different education level were statistically significant(P<0.05);logistic multiple regression analysis showed body mass index(OR=1.524),shift system(OR=2.105)Daytime sleepiness(OR=2.194),snoring(OR=1.761),and nighttime anti-resuscitation(OR=2.136)are related factors influencing sleep quality of young medical staff.Among the 723 medical staff,the number of medical staff with ESS score greater than 10 was 207 and the incidence of excessive daytime sleepiness(EDS)was 28.6%,suggesting that the incidence of excessive daytime sleepiness in the sleep disorder group was very high.The correlation coefficient between daytime sleepiness and sleep quality was 0.356,P=0.000,indicating a positive correlation among them.Conclusion: The sleep quality of young medical staff in Lanzhou City is generally poor;the main factors affecting the sleep quality of medical staff include: department,shift system,body mass index,marital status,gender,etc.;The incidence of excessive daytime sleepiness was 28.6%.Sleep disturbance was associated with excessive daytime sleepiness.Considering excessive daytime sleepiness was mainly related to nighttime sleep quality..Clinical symptoms such as daytime sleepiness,snoring,and nighttime resuscitation are clearly related to sleep quality and should be highly valued.The hospital should pay attention to obstetrics and gynecology,married,overweight or obese,night shift medical staff,improve their sleep status.
