Objective:To inverstigate the relationship between serum folic acid(FA)and plasma homocysteine(Hcy)levels and methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase(MTHFR)C677T and methionine synthetase reductase(MTRR)A66G polymorphisms were studied in patients with mild to moderate hypertension. To provide more clinical basis for the treatment of hypertension. Methods:A total of 200 cases from April 2016 to October 2017 in the First People's Hospital of KunMing, aged from 18 to 75 years, with or without hypertention were seleted, serum FA,Hcy levels and common Liver function, kidney function, fasting plasma glucose, lipids were detected, and C677T in MTHFR gene and A66G gene were also detected. All of the cases were divided into a normal blood pressure group(n=100)and a hypertention group(n=100).Using t-test,x2 test, logistic regression analysis and other statistical methods to analyze the correlation between serum folic acid, homocysteine and MTHFR C677T and MTRR A66G gene polymorphisms.Results:(1)The three genotypes of MTHFR A66G in the normal group were CC type,CT type, and TT type(37%,45%,and 18%),respectively,in the hypertension group(21%,55%,and 24%).There was a statistical difference between the two groups(P<0.05).(2)The three genotypes AA,AG and GG of MTRR A66G accounted for 32.54%,33.96%and 33.06%in the normal group, and 34.92%,32.09%and 33,88%in the hypertension group, respectively. Not obvious(p>0.05);(3)Within the MTHFR subgroup of the hypertension group, compared with the CC,CT,and TT genotype groups, serum folic acid in the CT and TT groups was significantly lower than that in the CC group.Hcy levels in the CT and TT groups were significantly higher than those in the CT and TT groups.CC type, there is a statistically significant difference(p<0.05).(4)Within the MTRR subgroup of the hypertension group, there was no significant difference in serum folic acid and Hcy levels among the three genotypes AA,AG and GG(p>0.05).(5)In the hypertension group, folate deficiency was significantly associated with hyperhomocysteinemia.Serum Hcy was the variable, and the incidence of folic acid deficiency in the high Hey group was approximately 20%.(6)Logistic regression analysis was performed to determine whether hypertension was the dependent variable gender, age,Hcy,folic acid,TC,TG,LDL,and fasting fasting plasma glucose, were independent variables. It was found that age and Hey levels were independent risk factors for their onset(P<0.05);Independent risk factors for the onset of hypertension in gender, folic acid,TC,TG,LDL,and fasting fasting plasma glucose levels. Conclusion:The prevalence of Hcy in the hyper;tension group was higher than that in the control group, suggesting that they may have a certain role in the promotion of hypertension. The level of Hcy and age are independent risk factors for the onset of hypertension.Increased homocysteine levels and increased age can increase the risk of hypertension.MTHFR C677T gene polymorphism may be associated with the incidence of hypertension,MTHFR gene mutations may mediate the relationship between hypertension and Hey levels. The onset of hypertension may be due to an increase in Hcy levels due to mutations in the C677T site of the MTHFR gene C to T.It has not been confirmed that the polymorphism in the MTRR A66G gene is associatetd with the onset of hypertension. There was no significant difference in age, sex, body mass index, fasting plasma glucose, blood lipids, liver function and renal function among different genotypes of MTRR A66G,MTHFR C677T and MSA2756G.Large samples were needed for further study.
