Objective:To observe the anti-fatigue effects of the health-care product of the ginseng,pilose antler,PHM and ophiopogon compound capsules.Method:200 male ICR mice were selected to study the effect of the ginseng,pilose antler,PHM,and ophiopogon compound capsules.The five-part experiment was carried out by weight-bearing swimming test,serum urea determination,liver glycogen,blood lactic acid,and enzymatic index determination.The 40 mice in each part of the experiment were randomly divided into blank control group and low,medium and high dose groups.The mice in the treated group were fed with samples by gavage administration,the dose is 5,10,and 30 times the daily recommended adult intake(1.84g/d),blank control group was treated with distilled water,30 consecutive days.Then fatigue-related biochemical indicators after exercise were analyzed,including the loaded-swimming time,serum urea,hepatic glycogen and blood lactic acid etc.Result:1.Compared with the blank control group,different doses of test samples had no effect on body weight and liver,kidney,spleen index of mice.2.Compared with the blank control group,test samples in the high dose group can significantly extend the loaded-swimming time(P<0.05).3.Compared with the blank control group,serum urea in mice of the high dose groups can obviously decrease after exercise(P<0.05).Serum urea content in high-dose mice decreased by 18.6% compared with the blank control group.4.Compared with the blank control group,mice of high dose group significantly reduced the curve area of blood lactate(P<0.05).Compared with the blank control group,the area under the blood lactate curve in mice in the high-dose group decreased 16.2% after exercise.5.Compared with the blank control group,there was no significant difference in hepatic glycogen content in mice among different dose groups.6.Compared with the control group,there was no significant difference in MDA levels and total SOD activity in liver homogenate of mice among different dose groups.Compared with the control group,mice in low dose groups significantly increased the lactate dehydrogenase activity(P<0.05),and there was no statistical difference in serum CK activity in mice among different dose groups.Conclusion:1.The high-dose test sample group can significantly extend time of exhausted swimming of mice with weight-bearing swimming test.2.The high-dose test sample group can reduce serum urea nitrogen content after swimming in mice.3.The high-dose test sample group can reduce the accumulation of lactic acid or speed up the removal of lactic acid in muscle tissue.The ginseng,pilose antler,paecilomyces hepiali mycelium,and ophiopogon compound capsules have the effect of alleviating physical fatigue.
