Abstract/Summary:
Objective: Investigate the risk factors for anxiety/depression in patients with COPD,Screening for anxiety and depression in patients with COPD.Method: Using the self-designed Possible Obstructive Pulmonary Syndrome Potential Risk Factor Questionnaire for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, from January 2017 to February 2018,we investigated patients with COPD who were admitted to a hospital or outpatient clinic in the Hunan Provincial People’s Hospital.A total of 218 COPD were selected,Comprehensive assessment grouping four groups, namely group A,group B,group C and group D.Through the screening of SAS and SDS scores, the gender, age,BMI,marital status, education level, cohabitation, smoking status, medical payment method, length of illness,CAT score, frequency of exacerbations,m MRC,FEV1% predicted were analyzed of COPD patients with anxiety/depression.Results: 1.In 218 COPD,186 were male and 32 were female. The average age was 70.52±9.60 years. There were 49(22.5%)patients with anxiety,38(17.4%)with depression, and 38(17.4%)with anxiety and depression.2.The COPD comprehensive assessment group D patients had a higher risk of anxiety/depression than those in the A,B,and C groups.3.The occurrence of anxiety was related to the payment method, acute exacerbation frequency and CAT score of COPD patients(P < 0.05).The more frequency of acute exacerbations, the higher the CAT score and the increased incidence of anxiety.Public medical care is a protective factor in the medical payment method. With the increase in the percentage of self-paid expenses,COPD is more likely to be anxious.4.The incidence of depression was related to co-occupation of COPD patients, medical payment methods, frequency of acute exacerbations, and CAT scores(P<0.05).The higher the frequency of acute exacerbations and the higher the CAT score,COPD is more likely to be depressed. The higher the rate of self-paid and the cohabitants, the higher the risk of COPD combined with depression. Conclusion: 1.The incidence of COPD with anxiety was 39.9%,and the incidence of depression was 34.8%.2.Independent risk factors for COPD combined with anxiety include: comprehensive evaluation of COPD grouped into D,medical payment methods, frequency of acute exacerbations, and CAT scores.3.Independent risk factors for COPD combined with depression include:comprehensive evaluation of COPD grouped into D,co-residents,medical payment methods, acute exacerbation frequency, and CAT scores.
