Astragalus membranaceus(Fisch.)Bge.var.mongholicus(Bge.)Hsiao and Astragalus membranaceus(Fisch.)Bunge.is one of the most widely used Chinese medicinal herbaceous plants.It can be used as an immune stimulant,tonic,antioxidant and so on.It has the functions of diuresis,hypoglycemic,anticancer,expectorant.It has been shown to have immunomodulation,anti hyperglycemia,anti-inflammatory,antioxidant and antiviral activities.A.membranaceus Mongol milkvetch root has been proved to contain three terpenoid saponins,flavonoids,polysaccharides,and some trace elements;Now,more than 100 compounds,such as flavonoids,saponins,polysaccharide aminoacids,and biological activities of various compounds have been identified.he development and utilization of medicinal plants' medicinal value has always been a hot topic among scholars.There are many reports about the flower of medicinal plants domestic and international,such as ginseng flower,rose,incluse flower,winter solstice and so on.As a traditional Chinese medicine,Astragalus has few studies on flowers.Three chromatographic columns(Diaion HP-20(Mitsubishi Chemicals,Japan),MCI gel CHP-20P(Mitsubishi Chemicals,Japan)and Toyopearl(T osoh,Japan))were used to separate the 70% acetone extracts,Eto Ac and n-butanol from traditional Chinese medicine A.membranaceus Mongol milkvetch.The antioxidant capacity and scavenging free radicals of the c ompounds were determined by ultraviolet spectrophotometry.Seven comp ounds were identified:(1)Hyperoside(2)Isoquercitrin(3)7-O-Methyl-k aempferol-3-O-galactoside,(4)7-O-Methyl-kaempferol-3-O-glucoside,(5)7-O-methylkampferol-3-O-(6 "-O-malonyl)-?-D-glucoside,(6)Kaempferol-3-O-?-D-glucoside and(7)Isorhamnetin-3-O-?-D-glucopyranoside(8)Calycos in.Compounds(3)(4)(5)(7)were isolated from A.membranaceus Mon gol milkvetch for the first time.In this experiment,DPPH and ABTS method was used to determine the activity of free radical scavenging about the extract of Radix Astrag alus flower.7 The results showed that compared with other compounds and control groups the antioxidant activity of Hyperoside and Isoquercitri n in monomers were the strongest.Compounds 7-O-methylkampferol-3-O-(6"-O-malonyl)-?-D-glucoside and Calycosin had strong antioxidant activit y,while the others had no obvious antioxidant capacity.Compared with Astragalus membranaceus root 70% acetone crude extract,Astragalus me mbranaceus flower 70% acetone crude extract has a higher antioxidant activity.
