ObjectiveWe analyzed and compared the postoperative recovery and complications of the Mastoscopic lymph node dissection and the conventional axillary lymph node dissection in the treatment of breast cancer patients.MethodsThis is a prospective study. In accordance with the inclusion criteria, from June 2015 to June 2016 in 60 cases of Mastoscopy Shengjing Hospital affiliated to the China Medical University of breast surgery after axillary lymph node dissection for breast cancer patients(MALND group)as the research object, and adopt 1:1 paired choice over the other 60 breast cancer patients under conventional axillary lymph node dissection as the control group(CALND group). We used paired t test to analyzed and compared the two groups’ postoperative average day drainage and postoperative average extubation time, and we used paired x2 test to analyze and compare incidence of upper extremity edema, and abnormal sensation.ResultsThe average day drainage in the MALND group(17.7±7.2)ml is significantly less than those in the CALND group(21.4±6.8)ml with significant difference(t=2.959,P=0.004).The postoperative average extubation time in the MALND group(7.5±2.3)days are significantly less than those in the CALND group(8.8±4.1)days with significant difference(t= 2.057,P=0.044).The incidence of upper extremity edema in the MALND group[3.3%(2/60)] is significantly less than those in the CALND group [13.3%(8/60)] with significant difference(P=0.031).The incidence of abnormal sensation in the MALND group[23.3%(14/60)] is significantly less than those in the CALND group [41.7%(25/60)] with significant difference(P=0.001).ConclusionWe conclude that the mastoscopic axillary lymph node dissection has little surgical injury, fast postoperative recovery, and fewer incidence of skin flap necrosis, upperextremity edema and abnormal sensation, which can significantly improve patients’ quality of life.
