Objective : To investigate the association between the particle size of low-density lipoprotein(LDL),small-density low-density lipoprotein(sd-LDL)and in-stent restenosis(ISR)in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods : A total of 340 patients with coronary heart disease who underwent coronary angiography and coronary stenting intervention were reviewed retrospectively.Patients were divided into in-stent restenosis group(110 cases)and non in-stent restenosis group(230 cases)according to the angiography. The LDL particle size and its subcomponents were classified using Lipoprint lipoprotein analyzer and the percentage of sd-LDL concentration was calculated.Results:1.Comparison of general clinical data between the two groups. There was no difference in age, sex, alcohol consumption, history of hyperlipidemia, history of myocardial infarction, and stent size, body mass index,TC,TG,HDL,lipoprotein a,serum creatinine, and fibrinogen between the two groups(all P>0.05).Compared with the non-stent restenosis group, the LDL,uric acid level and fasting blood glucose of the stent restenosis group were increased significantly(P>0.05),and the total bilirubin level was significantly decreased(P<0.01).The prevalence of smoking, hypertension, and diabetes in the stent restenosis group was higher than that in the non-restenosis group, but the exercise rate was significantly lower than that in the non-restenosis group(P<0.05).2.The mean diameter of LDL decreased significantly in in-stent restenosis group compared with non-restenosis patients(247.8±3.6 vs253.6±3.9,P <0.001),while the ratio of type B/A [(53.3%/46.7%)vs(78.0%/ 22.0%),P<0.001)and sd-LDL concentration percentage [(14.79± 9.74)vs(9.60±6.55),P < 0.001] increased.3.Multiple logistics regression analysis result show that the ratio of sd-LDL(B type)concentration was one of the risk factor of restenosis after coronary stent implantation, the odds rate(OR)was 2.137,indicating that with the sd-LDL(B type)level increased by 1 unit, the risk of restenosis in patients increased 2.137 times.Conclusion:Small-density low-density lipoprotein(sd-LDL)is associated closely with restenosis after coronary stenting.Reduced LDL particle diameter, and increased percentage of sd-LDL concentration have close correlation with occurrence of restenosis.
