Ultrasound Potential Application In Cervical Cancer Brachytherapy

Cervical cancer is one of the most common gynecological malignancies.The incidence rate among women is second only to breast cancer,and it is also an important cause of women's death from cancer.The International Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology requires the standard treatment for patients with stage IB2 to IVA cervical cancer to be external pelvic irradiation combined with concurrent chemotherapy and brachytherapy,and brachytherapy is an indispensable part of it.In recent years,the incidence rate of cervical cancer has risen.How to provide better treatment options for patients with cervical cancer and improve patient survival rate has become a research hotspot.This review reviews a large number of related literature:understanding the classification of cervical cancer brachytherapy,analysis CT,MRI,ultrasound and other different imaging modes to guide brachytherapy,the application of ultrasound in the evaluation of cervical cancer,research on ultrasound application of brachytherapyin cervical cancer,ultrasound guided brachytherapy for cervical cancer and radiotherapy planning.Ultrasound guidance greatly reduces the risk and difficulty of cervical cancer brachytherapy,simplifies the surgical procedure,and reduces the incidence of uterine perforation and surrounding organ damage.With the development of three-dimensional ultrasound,ultrasound will accurately measure the tumor volume,ultrasound will be involved in various stages of cervical cancer radiotherapy and play an irreplaceable role.
