Objective:UHRF1 is a kind of nuclear protein closely related to cell proliferation, which plays an important role in the development of various human tumors. In this paper,we studied the expression of UHRF1 in prostate cancer and analyzed its clinical significance,so as to provide evidence for whether it can be used as a new therapeutic target. Methods:The expression levels of UHRF1 were detected in 30 cases of prostate cancer and 30 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia by Western blot;the expression of UHRF1 protein was detected by immunohistochemistry in 47 cases of prostate cancer and 30 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia,The relationship between the expression of UHRF1 and the clinical pathological parameters of prostate cancer was further analyzed. Results: The results of Western blot showed that the expression level of UHRF1 in prostate cancer tissues was significantly higher than that of the benign prostatic hyperplasia tissue, and the difference of expression was statistically significant(P<0.05);Immunohistochemical results showed that UHRF1 protein was highly expressed in 72.3%(34/47)prostate cancer tissues,But low expression in 20%(6/30)benign prostatic hyperplasia tissue, and Non expression in the rest of the prostatic hyperplasia, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The high expression of UHRF1 protein was associated with the clinical stage,Gleason score and the level of serum PSA of prostate cancer(P<0.05),but had no correlation with the age,Lymph node metastasis, seminal vesicle infiltration and positive margin of cutting edge(P>0.05).Conclusion: UHRF1 is highly expressed in prostate cancer tissues, and is associated with multiple clinical indicators. It is of great significance for the diagnosis and targeted therapy of prostate cancer.
