| Aim: By analyzing the expression characteristics of prenyl diphosphate synthase subunit 2(PDSS2)and RhoB in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)and adjacent tissues, combining the clinical data to study the correlation between them,to provide a basis for exploring the role of PDSS2 in liver cancer. Methods: Collection of surgical resection of clinical data for patients with liver cancer.Examine the corresponding pathological sections, select the cancerous and paracancerous borders and cut them into tissue sections. The expression and distribution of PDSS2 and RhoB in HCC and adjacent tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry.Statistical software is used to statistically analyze the correlation between clinical and pathological data. Results: 1.PDSS2 was lowly expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma tissues and was highly expressed in paracancerous tissues(t=-2.880,P=0.006).RhoB expression was not statistically different in hepatocellular carcinoma and adjacent tissues.2.The higher the TNM stage, the lower the PDSS2 expression in patients with HCC(t=2.190,P=0.032),but no statistically significant difference in age, gender, hepatitis B infection,AFP levels, size and number of lesions, differentiation degree subgroups(P>0.05).The expression of PDSS2 was lower in patients with single lesions than in adjacent tissues(t=-2.210,P=0.032),but there was no significant difference in age, sex, hepatitis B infection,AFP levels, lesion size and TNM staging subgroup(P>0.05).3.There was no significant difference in the expression of RhoB between HCC and para-cancer tissues in each clinical subgroup(P>0.05).4.There was a positive correlation between PDSS2 and RhoB expression in hepatocellular carcinoma(r=0.371,P=0.001),but in the subgroup of clinical parameters except for age ≥60 years,no hepatitis B infection, lesions ≤5cm,number of lesions, and well-differentiated subgroup no correlation was found (P>0.05),the other subgroup of clinical are positively correlated(r>0,P<0.05).There was no correlation between PDSS2 and RhoB expression in the paracancerous tissues, and there was no correlation in the expression of clinical parameter subgroups.(P>0.05).Conclusion: 1.PDSS2 is lowly expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma and highly expressed in paracancerous tissues and negative correlation with the TNM staging.2.No difference in expression of RhoB in HCC and adjacent tissues.3.There is a positive correlation between PDSS2 and RhoB expression in hepatocellular carcinoma, and their correlation is affected by age, hepatitis B virus infection, size of the lesion, number of lesions, and degree of differentiation. |
