Objective: To discuss the clinical characteristics,diagnosis,and treatment of Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura.Methods: The clinical characteristics and successful plasmapheresis and rituximab treatment of a patient with refractory thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura were analyzed.Results: On the basis of related laboratory inspection,furthermore by the early plasma exchange without significant relief,the patient with thrombocytopenia 、 Microangiopathic hemolytic anemia and neurological deficits be confirmed as refractory thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura.We continue to offer him plasma exchange and rituximab,and we get successful treatment at last.Conclusions: The clinical characteristics of refractory thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura were complex,resulting in a poor prognosis and in a critical condition with risk of infection.Therefore,the need for early diagnosis and treatment.The plasma exchange is still the first-line therapy for TTP in our country at present.And rituximab also plays an important role.
