This thesis was composed of four components: The first chapter summarizes the status quo of cancer and the research progress in chemical constituents and bioactivities of Scutellaria barbata.The second chapter expounds the chemical constituents of Scutellaria barbata.The third chapter evaluates the anti-tumor,reversal of multidrug resistance and other bioactivities of the isolated compounds from S.barbata.are discussed,In the last chapter,conclusions,discussions,and prospects of this dissertation are made.Cancer is one of the most serious diseases that endanger human health,and it is also an important cause of the burden of disease on a global scale.At present,chemotherapy is one of the main methods for the treatment of cancer diseases,Although chemotherapy drugs can save and prolong the lives of patients,they can also produce a variety of side effects,which can bring great pain to patients.And with the long-term use of drugs,the effect of chemotherapy is gradually reduced and even ineffective.The objective existence of multidrug resistance is the main reason for the failure of chemotherapy.Therefore,the search for a drug with new structure,highly effective,low-toxicity,unique mechanism of action to anti-tumor and resistance reversal agents has become a topic of widespread attention in the medical profession.In china,herbs have a long history and abundant resources,especially,herbs have also a lot of advantage including multi-components multiple pathways,multiple targets,so we put the anti-tumor treatment studies into traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).The discovery of inflammation,especially chronic inflammation,is closely related to the formation of tumors through communication with clinicians and literature review.Therefore,we should look for a plant that has good anti-inflammatory activity and anti-tumor activity,which is good for study and has achieved the goal of bidirectional anti-tumor.Through extensive research,we screened out a kind of Chinese herb with better activity-S.barbata.Scuetallria barbata D.Don,Labiatae,a kind of traditional Chinese Herbs-and widely used as anti-inflammatory and a diuretic drug.Several studies have indicated that S.barbata has inhibitory effects on a numbers of human cancers.The plant Scutellaria barbata has been subjected to various phytochemical and studies.Using chromatography,spectroscopy technique,NMR,MS and diffraction experiments,thirty-five compounds were isolated and identified from the whole plant of Scutellaria barbata.The structure types involves diterpenes,lignans,sesquiterpenes and other type compounds.Among them,seven new compounds were named: suctegxbatins A-G.And the known compounds were respectively identified as 14 new neo-clerodane diterpenoids,5 lignans,1 sesquiterpenes and 7 other type compounds.Most isolated compounds were evaluated for anti-tumor,anti-flu virus and anti-inflammatory activities in vitro.The results shows that compound 6、8、13、16 had better reversal resistance to HepG2/ADR with co-administration of adriamycin.with reversal index(RI)values from 5.23 to 20.3,respectively,while compound 6 exhibited the highest RI of 20.3.
