| ObjectiveTo investigate the emotional management of nurses in 3-A-grade general hospitals in Qingdao and analyze the influencing factors,further investigate the job satisfaction of nurses,and discuss the correlation between nurses’ emotional management and job satisfaction.On the basis of this,the influencing factors of nurses’ job satisfaction were analyzed.The results can provide theoretical basis for nursing managers to improve nurses’ emotional management and job satisfaction.MethodsAfter informed consent from the relevant departments of the hospitals,825 nurses from 3-A-grade general hospitals in Qingdao city were randomly selected by convenient sampling method.The questionnaire included the general data questionnaire,the nurses’ emotion management questionnaire and the nurses’ job satisfaction questionnaire.The data were analyzed by SPSS17.0,and the demographic data of the nurses were statistically analysed by frequency and composition.The scores of the nurses’ emotional management and job satisfaction were statistically described by the average number of standard deviation.T test and one-way ANOVA were used to analyze the differences in emotional management ability and job satisfaction scores of different demographic data.The Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between nurses’ emotional management and job satisfaction.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of nurses’ emotional management and job satisfaction.Results1.General information of respondents.Among the 784 nurses involved in the investigation,women accounted for 97.3%,the contract nurses accounted for 72.3%,the undergraduate and above nurses accounted for 71.2%,the medical nurses accounted for 31.9%,the surgical nurses accounted for 28.1%,the nurses in the critical medicine section accounted for 13.0%,the emergency department nurses accounted for 11.5%,and the nurses who knew and understood the emotional management knowledge accounted for 14.2%,and 4.3% of nurses who often received emotional management training.2.Emotional management status and influencing factors of nurses.The average score of nurses in emotional management was(3.24 + 0.31),the highest score of each dimension was the emotion regulation dimension,the score was(3.36 + 0.55),the lowest was the emotional awareness,and the score was(3.20 + 0.41).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that stress coping style,emotional management knowledge,emotional management training,family relationship,and night shift were the influencing factors(P<0.01)of nurses’ emotional management.3.Job satisfaction and influencing factors of nurses.The average score of nurses’ job satisfaction was(3.05 + 0.39),and the average scores of each dimension were arranged from high to low.The highest score was the relationship with colleagues,and the lowest score was the salary and welfare level.There was a positive correlation between the total score of nurses’ emotional management and the total score of job satisfaction r=0.469(P<0.01).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the level of emotion management,job,training of emotional management,night shift,stress coping style,emotional state,professional title and educational background were the factors(P<0.01).Conclusions1.The subjects of this study were mainly women,married and contract nurses,most of them were undergraduate and above.The awareness rate and training rate of the nurses’ emotional management knowledge were low,and the professional emotional management training was urgently needed.2.In this study,the average score of nurses’ emotional management was in the middle level.In view of the fact that nurses were less likely to receive emotional management training,there was still considerable room for improvement.The coping style of the nurses,the knowledge of emotional management,the training of emotional management,the family relationship and the night shift influenced the level of nurses’ emotional management.It was uggested that nursing managers should carry out relevant training,strengthen their knowledge of emotion management,especially for the night nurses,learn to express emotions,rational use of emotions,and fully mobilize positive emotions.All of above were of great significance to improve the quality of nursing service is of great significance.3.The average score of nurses ’ job satisfaction in this study was in general level,and it had a positive correlation with the emotional management ability,the higher the nurse’s emotional management ability was,the higher the job satisfaction was.Emotional management ability,emotional management training,night shift,stress coping style,emotional state,job title,academic title and educational background affect nurses’ job satisfaction.It was suggested that nursing managers should pay attention to the influencing factors of nurses’ job satisfaction.In addition to improving the nurses’ emotional management to improve nurses’ job satisfaction,we should pay more attention to the job satisfaction of the nurses who work in the night shift and the undergraduate degree,so as to improve the overall satisfaction level. |
