Objective:The purpose of this article was to find safe and proper ventilation tube materials for the patients after having the nasal functional endoscopic sinus surgery and found a scientific and effective packing method.This article compared the effects of three different stuffing materials or method by comparing the clinical signs of pain,ventilation situation,diet,sleep condition,oropharyngeal drying condition,tearing condition.In order to know the effects of packing the nasal cavity,two kinds of homemade ventilation tube combined with NasoPore for nasal functional endoscopic sinus surgery were used to compared with using NasoPore only.Method:Screened with the inclusion and exclusion criteria,total 98 chronic nasal sinusitis patients were recruited in this trial from a grade 3 and first-class Hospital in Chengdu from April 2016 to December 2016.The enrolled patients were randomized into 3 groups according to the random number table method: the control group,the silicone ventilation tube group and the latex ventilation tube group.The control group had 33 patients and they only use NasoPore to fill the nasal,the silicone ventilation tube group had 32 patients and they use silicone ventilation tube combined with NasoPore in the nasal packing,the latex ventilation tube group had 33 patients and they use latex ventilation tube combined with NasoPore in the nasal packing.As NasoPore can be degraded by itself,there is no need to remove it from the nasal cavity.Perioperative treat methods were carried out according to the guideline of the chronic nasal sinusitis.The illness condition records were made before the surgery and in the 30 th days after the surgery.The test intervention effect records were made 2 day after the surgery.The VAS score and the quality of life assessment SNOT-20 were chosen to be the evaluation indicators of the disease control effects.The level of entirety symptoms,pain condition,ventilation situation,diet condition,sleep condition,oropharyngeal drying condition,tearing condition were chosen to be the evaluation indicators of the intervention effect.The results were received according to comparing the statistics of the three groups after statistical processing.Result:In the improvement of the entirety symptoms,pain,ventilation situation,diet,sleep condition,oropharyngeal drying condition,tearing condition after the nasal functional endoscopic sinus surgery,the latex tube group was better than the silicone group,which meant there existed a statistically difference(P <0.05)between two groups,and silicone tube group was better than the control group,which meant there existed a statistically difference(P < 0.05)between two groups.As for bleeding situation and other symptoms,there was no significant statistically difference among three groups(P>0.05).The three groups had no adverse reactions and adverse events during the whole experiment.Conclusion:Clinical signs of pain,ventilation situation,diet,sleep condition,oropharyngeal drying condition,tearing condition were relieved after using homemade latex ventilation tube combined with NasoPore in the nasal functional endoscopic sinus surgery and it was worth of further clinical application.
