The Comparative Study Of Tandospirone And Wuling Capsule In Treating Epilepsy Patients With Anxiety And Multivariate Analysis Of Anti-anxiety Effect

Objective:To compare the efficacy and safety of Tandospirone and Wuling capsule in the treatment of epileptic patients with anxiety and analyze the factors influencing the effect of anti-anxiety.Methods:Fifty-three epileptic patients with anxiety were collected from the neurology department of the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from November 2016 to November 2017.Meanwhile,gender,age,occupation,income,place of origin,epileptic course,anti-epileptic drugs,HAMA(Hamilton Anxiety scale)scores and other general data were collected.On the basis of routine anti-epileptic therapy,they were randomly divided into two groups: Group A: 26 cases were given tandospirone,10 mg,3 times/ day,po.Group B: 27 cases were given Wuling capsule,3 pills 3 times/ day,po.The course of treatment in both groups was 12 weeks.HAMA scores and seizure frequency were tested to compare the efficacy of the two drugs after treatment 4 weeks,8 weeks and 12 weeks.Routine blood,liver and kidney function were tested respectively before and after12 weeks treatment to assess the safety of the drugs.All the factors that may affect the anti-anxiety effect of the epileptic patients with anxiety were included in the statistical analysis.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the factors that might affect the anti-anxiety effect.Results:(1)The comparison of anti-anxiety effect: After the treatment of 4 weeks,8 weeks and 12 weeks,the HAMA scores of both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.05).However,there were no significant differences in the effect of anti-anxiety between the two groups were treated respectively after 4 weeks,8 weeks and12 weeks(P > 0.05);(2)The comparison of anti-epileptic effects:After the treatment of12 weeks,the seizure frequency both the groups were significantly lower than that before(The group A:Z=-3.035,P=0.002;The group B:Z=-3.404,P=0.001).However,there was no significant difference between the two groups in the seizure frequency after treatment of 12 weeks(After treatment of 12 weeks : Z=-0.232,P=0.861);3)The comparison of adverse reaction: In group A,one case of dizziness appeared after treatment 8 weeks.In group B,one case of constipation and one case of gastrointestinal discomfort appeared separately after treatment 4 weeks and 8 weeks.The incidence was3.85%、3.70% and 3.70%.There was not different in the side effects between the two groups(p>0.05).(4)The influencing factor of anti-anxiety :Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that after anti-anxiety therapy 12 weeks,the incidence of anxiety in females was higher than that in males(P <0.05).Conclusion:(1)Tandospirone and Wuling capsule could improve the anxiety and reduced the frequency of epilepsy in the epileptic patients with anxiety,there was no obvious difference between them in effect;(2)The women may be the factor on the effect of anti-anxiety.
