Objective:To investigate the relationship between neutrophil/ lymphocyte(NLR),mononuclear cells and the severity of coronary artery in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods:According to angiography results, all patients underwent coronary angiography were divided into coronary heart disease group(n = 110)and normal control group(n =40).Coronary heart disease patients were divided into low risk group(Gensini score <16,n = 40),moderate risk group(16 <Gensini score <40,n = 40)and high risk group(Gensini score> 40,N = 30).Peripheral blood neutrophil count, lymphocyte count, monocyte count were measured. The ratio of neutrophil count to lymphocyte count was calculated to obtain NLR.The levels of NLR and monocytes in each group were compared, and the relationship between them and the severity of coronary lesions in patients with coronary heart disease was analyzed. Results:The NLR,monocytes, hypertension in Coronary heart disease group were higher than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).NLR and age, gender, and hypertension were independent predictors of high-risk CHD.The area under the ROC(Receiver Operating Characteristic)curve for the high-risk group was 0.75(0.66-0.85,P <0.001).The best diagnostic cut-off point for NLR-predicted high-risk group was 1.86 and any NLR greater than 1.86 had 86.7%sensitivity and 58.7% specificity. There was a significant correlation between NLR and Gensini scores(r: 0.55,P <0.001).Conclusion: There is a certain correlation between NLR and coronary heart disease severity.
