Objective:The investigation of the correlation between plasma level of cardiotrophin-1(CT-1)and chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods:A total of 71 patients with chronic heart failure(CHF group,according to the NYHA classification of cardic function,(class ? 22 cases,class ?I 25 cases,class IV 24 cases)and other 68 cases without heart failure(control group)were enrolled in the Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from January 2016 to December 2016.All the research objects were measured plasma CT-1,BNP,urea nitrogen(BUN),creatinine(CR),alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),total cholesterol(TC),low density lipo protein cholesterol(LDL-C),triglyceride(TG),Meanwhile,the left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LVEDD)and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)were measured in all cases by cardiac color doppler ultra-sonic.Detailed records of sex,age,weight,height,hyperlipidemia,hypertension,diabetes,smoking history and other family history of cardiovascular disease.Finally,The differences between the two groups and the subgroups were compared by statistical analysis.Result:1.In comparison of general clinical data and routine biochemical indexes,there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05),which was comparable;2.The CT-1 level in the CHF group was significantly higher than that in the non-CHF group(P<0.05);3.The level of CT-1 in CHF group increased gradually with the increase of heart function level of NYHA;4.Correlation analysis showed that CT-1 levels in CHF group were positively correlated with BNP level,heart function level and LVEDD(r=0.519,r=0.613,r=0.422,P<0.05),and negatively correlated with LVEF(r=-0.474,P<0.05);5.There was no statistically significant difference in the CT-1 level between different causes of heart failure(P>0.05);6.ROC curve analysis showed that the areas under the curve of BNP and CT-1were 0.858 and 0.825 respectively,it is suggested that CT-1 has a certain diagnostic value for CHF.Conclusions:The measurement of plasma CT-1 level is of clinical significance for patients with chronic heart failure,and it can provide certain clinical value for clinical diagnosis,judgment of severity of disease and evaluation of prognostic value of CHF.
