Objective:To compare the therapeutic effects of Percutaneous kyphoplasty(PKP)and Bone filling mesh container(BFMCs)in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture. Methods:We collected 74 cases of PKP/BFMCs in our hospital due to osteoporotic single vertebral compression fractures from May 2015 to October 2017.Among them,40 patients undergoing PKP therapy were treated as group A.34 patients who received BFMCs were treated as Group B.The case data were complete and were followed up for more than 3 months. The kyphosis angle, bone cement leakage rate, pain Visual Analogue Score(VAS),and Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)scores were measured before surgery,3days after operation, and 3 months after operation. Results:In the aspect of bone cement leakage:BFMCs group was 1/34(2.9%),PKP group was 8/40(20%),and BFMCs cement leakage rate was lower than that of PKP group(P<0.05).The VAS,ODI,and Cobb angle of the two groups after 3 days and 3 months of operation were all improved(P<0.05).The comparison between PKP and BFMCs was 3days after the operation.Visual Analogue Score,PKP group was lower than the BFMCs group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in VAS at 3 months after operation(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in ODI and Cobb angles between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:In the early postoperative(3 days)pain relief,PKP group was superior to BFMCs group and had the same effect after 3 months;it was used to correct the kyphotic deformity(Cobb angle),restore the spinal force line, and increase the spinal function(ODI),Both groups achieved good results;in the prevention of bone cement leakage, the BFMCs group was superior to the PKP group.
