Objective:Stool is one of the important excretion products. We aimed to identify the influence of fecal supernatant(FSN)from patients with UC on human colonic epithelial cells. Methods:Collecting 10 inpatients in Gastroenterology Department of Shanxi Provincial People's Hospital between September 2016 and Octpber 2017,who was diagnosed as UC.Clinical information of UC patients were searched, including clinical manifestations(defecating frequency, hemafecia, mucopurulent bloody stool)and bloods biochemical parameters(Hb,ESR,CRP).Then collect the FSN of UC and the controls. We evaluated the influence of fecal FSN on human colonic epithelial cells(NCM460)by cell vialitiy,Microscopic Observation and expression of caspase3.Results:1 Subject Characteristics: There was no significant difference between age, gender, and body mass index rates between the study groups and the control group.2 Cell viability: There was significantly more severe damage in the UC group compared with the control group(0.681vs0.9323,P<0.05).3 Morphology: In the serum-free medium,FSN of patients of UC at the concentration of 30% caused signifiant shrinkage and separation of the cells at 30 mins compared to controls..4 expression of caspase3: There was significantly higher in the UC group compared with the control group(19.25vs10.03,P<0.05).Conclusion:In accordance with these results,it is possible to say that FSN from UC may lead to apoptosis on human colonic epithelial cells.
