Correlation Research Between The Material Composition And Medicinal Properties Of Traditional Chinese Medicine In Labiatae

Objective: The 146 kinds of Chinese herbal medicine of labiatae are examples to study the correlation between the material composition and medicinal properties of traditional Chinese medicines.Methods: The information on the medicinal properties(four natures,five tastes)of the 146 kinds of labiatae Chinese medicines clearly recorded in the Chinese Materia Medica was searched,and the material compositions of the medicines were searched using a database of literatures,to establish the database of material composition-medicinal properties(four natures,five tastes)of the labiatae Chinese medicine.The methods of frequency analysis and association rules,etc.were used to investigate the relationship between the material composition,and four natures and five tastes from three levels of compound categories,secondary classification,and specific material compositions.Results: The correlation research on the relationship between the material compositions and four natures in Chinese herbal medicine of lamiaceae,found that: the compositions of Chrysin and Salvianolic acid(Salvianolic acid B,Salvianolic acid C,Salvianolic acid A,and caffeic acid ethyl ester)were most closely related to cold nature;Thujone,phellandrene,γ-Cadinene,3-Carene,Perilla aldehyde,Dilla Piole were most closely related to hot nature;there was a certain correlation between Friedelin,Shanzhiside methyl ester and mild nature.The correlation research on the relationship between the material compositions and five tastes in Chinese herbal medicine of lamiaceae,revealed that: Linalool,Thymol and Carvacrol were most closely related to pungent taste;Rubescensine A,Ferruginol,and Salvianolic acid(Salvianolic acid B,Salvianolic acid C,Salvianolic acid A)were most closely related to bitter taste;there was a certain correlation between Caffeic acid ethyl ester,Ecdysterone,Shanzhiside methyl ester,Stachydrine and sweet taste.Conclusion: There is a correlation between material compositions and medicinal properties in Chinese herbal medicine of labiatae,and the material composition is the basis of medicinal properties,which provides certain reference information for the development and utilization of medicinal resources of Chinese medicine,and for the prediction and evaluation of medicinal properties.
