Objectives: To observe the alteration of blood coagulation indicators in the patients with lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma/Waldenstr?m macroglobulinemia(LPL/WM)and its clinical significance to improve the diagnostic basis of clinical discovery and prevention of hemorrhage and thrombosis. Methods: Twenty patients of newly diagnosed with LPL/WM in our hospital from January 2008 to April 2016 and twenty healthy controls were studies.LPL/WM was diagnosed according to the diagnostic criteria of WHO lymphoma. The parameters of Prothrombin time(PT),Activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT),Fibrinogen(FIB),Thrombin time(TT),D-Dimer(D-D)and Platelets(PLT)were detected in LPL/WM group and healthy controls. Results: 1.The levels of PT,APTT and D-D in LPL/WM group were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.01).The level of PLT in LPL/WM group were lower than those in control group(P<0.01).There are no significant differences of FIB and TT between LPL/WM group and control group.2.There were no statistical differences of PT,APTT,FIB,TT,D-D and PLT among different types of immunoglobins secrected by LPL/WM(all P>0.05).3.Further correlation analysis showed that the PT,APTT,FIB,TT and D-D were of no relevance to the clinical parameters such as hemoglobulin(HB),erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)and serum ?2-microglobulin(all P>0.05).4.After treatment with chemotherapy,and/or plasma exchange,and/or supplement of coagulation factor,and/or supportive therapy, all the coagulationabnormalities got relieved and not any a LPL/WM patient died of hemorrhage or thrombosis. Conclusion: The LPL/WM patients usually accompany with higher coagulation states, and there is no correlation with the secreted immunoglobulin types and other clinical parameters. The coagulation function should be closely monitored to prevent the formation of blood clots. The monitoring of blood coagulation index helps to detect the disorder of coagulation function in time,so as to take appropriate measures to prevent the occurrence of adverse reactions such as thrombosis and bleeding and prolong the survival of patients.
