Objectives:Use OCTA quantitative standard 2.0 version to investigate the vascular density in the RPC layer of normal subjects and POAG patients,To evaluate the discriminant function of OCTA in POAG.Methods:This study is a cross-sectional study,including 48 eyes of 28 patients with POAG and 50 eyes of 30 healthy as control subjects.Optic nerve head region vascular density in the RPC layer and C/D V.Ratio were measured using OCTA technology scans.Using Humphrey field required threshold detection of 24-2 programs.The mean ± standard deviation of each parameter was calculated and the differences among groups were compared.The correlation between vascular density and MD value,PSD value,C/D ratio was analyzed by univariate linear regression analysis.ROC curve and AUC were used to evaluate the discriminant ability of each each parameter and compared by MedCalc software.Finally the significant level was set to 0.05.Results:Except the capillaries density inside disc and the vascular density inside disc,the vascular density decreased with the aggravation of glaucoma,and the difference between normal group and glaucoma group was statistically significant(P<0.05).The capillaries density inside disc and the vascular density inside disc were less correlated with MD value and PSD value(R2=0.2?0.5,P<0.05),the others were strong correlated(R2>0.6,P<0.05).The capillary density of the whole image,peripapillary,superior and inferior,and the vascular density of whole image,peripapillary showed better discriminant ability(AUC>0.9)between normal and POAG eyes,there was no statistical difference among the parameters(P>0.05).The diagnostic ability of the capillaries density inside disc and the vascular density inside disc was significantly lower than the other parameters(AUC = 0.84 and 0.87,respectively),has statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:In POAG patients vessel density was significantly lower than normal,and the lower level was associated with severity<except the capillaries density inside disc and the vascular density inside disc.The capillary density and the vessel density of the whole image,peripapillary was a good index to evaluate the structure of optic papilla in POAG patients.It is of great significance in the diagnosis and follow-up of POAG.However,The diagnostic ability of the capillaries density inside disc and the vascular density inside disc was significantly lower than the other parameters due to the limitation of OCTA.
