Cinnamomum cassia is a kind of edible plant material,which has many functions,such as anti-inflammatory,anti-oxidation,anti-tumor and hypoglycemic.In recent years,it was found that the cinnamon essential oil has strong antifungal activity.The research of natural fungicide based on its active components has become a research hotspot.In the present research,the active ingredients in the Cinnamomum cassia were extracted and used to inhibit Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz..Moreover,its antifungal activity and the development of natural fungicide were also studied.(1)The antifungal ingredients of cinnamon essential oil on Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz.was studied by using a variety of chromatographic techniques,including normal phase silica gels,RP-18 reverse phase silica gel,gel and HPLC,and MS and NMR.There were five ingredients isolated from the cinnamon essential oil,and elucidated as trans-cinnamic,2'-methoxycimnamaldehyde,trans-cinnamaldehydem,1,2-dibenzoylethane and coumarin.(2)In the test of antifungal activity inhibition on Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz.,two ingredients showed few antifungal activity,and three ingredients showed high antifungal activity.In the test of antifungal activity with combination of three compounds,the best combination is trans-cinnamaldehyde and 1,2-dibenzoylethane.(3)The antifungal activity of three effective compounds was much better than carbendazim,thiophanate methyl,et al.(4)It was observed the changes of the spores of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz.with trans-cinnamaldehyde by using the transmission electron microscope.It was found that the number of mitochondria decreased,the amount of osmiophilic inclusions increased,and the number of organelles decreased.(5)Recomposed three active substances and boric acid(or borate)to test the antifungal activity.The best combination of antifungal activity was determined as follows:trans-cinnamaldehydem with potassium tetraborate.(6)Determine the indoor virulence of the new fungicide which is based on the above two compounds to eighth kinds of plant pathogens such as Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz,Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.Cubense,Phomopsis mangiferae Ahmad.Alternaria kikuchiana Tanaka.The result suggested that new fungicide had certain inhibitory effect on these pathogens and had certain broad-spectrum properties.
