The Clinical Efficacy Observation Of Excessive Heat Of Lung And Stomach Type Of Rosacea With Acupuncture Treatment

ObjectiveThis study was intended to observe symptom score and quality of life score for evaluating the clinical efficacy of excessive heat of lung and stomach type of rosacea with acupuncture treatment.It would provide an affirmative clinical efficacy and few side effects in the chinese characteristic treatment of this type of rosacea.MethodIn this study,60 patients with excessive heat of lung and stomach type of rosacea were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,and each group had 30 patients.The treatment group received the treatment of acupuncture combine metronidazole gel for external use.The frequency of acupuncture was once a day with 5 consecutive days in a week;the frequency of treatment of metronidazole gel for external use was day and night every day;2 weeks for a course of treatment,a total of 2 courses of treatment.Using clinical symptom score table and quality of life score table(DLQI)for 2groups’ difference before and after treatment,and then using statistical analysis to compare the clinical efficacy of treatment group and control group.ResultsAfter 4 weeks treatment,the two groups of symptom score and quality of life score were significantly lower,and there was significant difference before and after treatment during statistical analysis(P <0.05),which described the two treatment methods for excessive heat of lung and stomach type of rosacea have effect.Meanwhile the symptom score and quality of life score in treatment group lower than in control group,and there was significant difference between two groups after statistical analysis(P <0.05),which described the treatment group more efficient.The significant effective rate and effective rate of treatment group were 60% and 90%,while the rates of control group were 10% and 53.33%.The treatment effect between two groupswere significant difference during statistical analysis(P <0.05),which described the treatment group more efficient than control group.ConclusionThe treatment of acupuncture for excessive heat of lung and stomach type of rosacea has obvious therapeutic effect,which can significantly improve the clinical symptom and impact of rosacea on quality of life.It is worth widely used in clinical treatment.
