| ObjectiveBIQIU is a kind of traditional Chinese disease equivalent to Allergic rhinitis(AR)which is a common disease in Department of ENT,and is a chronic disease and difficult to treat. In recent years, the incidence of AR is increasing year by year, often accompanied by asthma, conjunctivitis and sinusitis, which seriously affect the quality of life and physical and mental health of the patients. In western medicine AR can not be cured but only temporarily be relieved in the symptoms of acute phase.Due to the disease is prone to relapse,TCM treats AR on the theory of consideration of the symptoms and root in different stages, eliminating evil in acute phase and strengthening the body resistance in the remission period, fundamentally changing the patient’s physique, thus greatly reducing the attack of AR and it may be even cured, whose late result is considerable. In this study I started from my teachers’ experience of treating AR by stages, based on statistics theory analysis the specific effect of AR staging treatment and long-term follow-up effect after 1 year,in order to guide clinical work in the future.Methods200 cases of AR patients were selected from outpatient department of Professor Fu Wenyang in Shenzhen Chinese Traditional Medical Hospital, from December 2015 to February 2017.According to the principle of random allocation,200 subjects who met the inclusion criteria were divided into 2 groups: the treatment group(stage treatment group)100 cases and the control group(syndrome differentiation group)100 cases.Stage treatment group:according to the stage of AR,the different prescriptions were selected and the treatment lasted for 6 weeks.Syndrome differentiation group:different prescriptions were selected according to the classification of syndrome differentiation, and the treatment lasted for 6 weeks. The curative effect was evaluated before treatment,6 weeks after treatment and follow up 1 year later according to the quantitative scoring standard for local symptom and sign and the grading scoring standard for major TCM syndromes. All data were statistically analyzed using SPSS19.0.Results1.All the 200 subjects included in the study completed the treatment according to the original plan and were followed up 1 year later.2.Comparison of two groups of baseline conditions, the P values were all greater than 0.05,and the two groups were comparable.3.Symptom and sign score and its curative effect:after 6 weeks of treatment, the scores of the two groups were lower than those before the treatment, compared with pretherapy,P < 0.05,the difference was statistically significant. The comparison between groups was P =0.042 < 0.05,and the difference was statistically significant. After 6 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate of the two groups was 91% and 82% respectively, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P =0.009 <0.05).Follow up 1 year later, the scores of the two groups were decreased compared with those before and after 6 weeks of treatment, the P values were all less than 0.05,and the difference was statistically significant. The comparison between groups was P =0.028 < 0.05,and the difference was statistically significant.Follow up 1 year later, the total effective rate of the two groups was 96% and 88% respectively, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P =0.010 < 0.05).4.TCM syndrome score and its curative effect:after 6 weeks of treatment, the scores of the two groups were lower than those before the treatment, compared with pretheropy,P < 0.05,the difference was statistically significant. The comparison between groups was P =0.040 < 0.05,and the difference was statistically significant. After 6 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate of the two groups was 91% and 81% respectively, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P =0.000 <0.05).Follow up 1 year later, the scores of the two groups were decreased compared with those before and after 6 weeks of treatment. The P values were less than 0.05,and the difference was statistically significant. The comparison between groups was P =0.016 < 0.05,and the difference wasstatistically significant.Follow up 1 year later, the total effective rate of the two groups was 90% and 77% respectively, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P =0.001 < 0.05).Conclusion1.Both stage treatment and treatment according to syndrome differentiation can effectively improve the local symptom, sign and TCM syndrome of AR.The total effective rate of stage treatment is higher than that of the syndrome differentiation group. The long-term follow-up effect of the two methods is considerable, and the long-term follow-up effective rate of staging is higher than that of the syndrome differentiation.2.The treatment of AR by staging of traditional Chinese medicine is safe. |
