Objective:The aim of this study was to undertake a systematic review wit h meta-analysis to compare the long-term therapeutic effect of Anatomic Resect ion(AR)to Nonanatomic resection(NAR)in treatment of hepatocellular carcin oma.Metarials and Methods:Electronic literature searches were conducted throug h PubMed and Ovid databases in English,CNKI,Wanfang and VIP Databases in Chinese,to locate all relevant articles published between 1997 and 2017.Eli gible studies were selected and quality assessments were conducted.Five-year disease-free survival rates(DFS),postoperative mortality and morbidity were an alyzed using state 13.0 software. Results:In total,10467patients from 20 non-randomized and controlled trials were included.Of the patients,4684 were included in the AR group and 5783 in the NAR group. The AR group showed enhanced 5-year survival rates(R R=1.18,95%CI(1.087,1.284),P<0.01=and DFS(RR=1.43,95%CI(1.202,1.706),P<0.01,compared to the NAR group.Postoperative mortality and morbidi ty did not demonstrate a statistically significant difference. Conclusion:AR could be a predictable alternative to NAR to increase 5-yea r survival rates and DFS in treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma.
